Cyalume Military Grade White Glow Sticks
The Cyalume Military Grade White Glow Sticks (6”, Pack of 10) offer bright, dependable illumination in situations where battery-powered lights aren’t practical. I keep a few in my emergency kits, vehicle, and camping gear, and they’ve come in handy more than once. These ChemLights activate instantly with a snap, providing a steady white glow for up to 8 hours—great for marking, signaling, or navigating in the dark. Unlike cheap glow sticks, these are military grade, so they’re non-toxic, waterproof, and built for rugged use.The white light is bright enough to read by or illuminate a small area, making them useful during blackouts or roadside emergencies. Plus, with a long shelf life, they’re ideal for long-term storage. One note: These are single-use only, so once activated, they can’t be turned off or reused—but that’s expected with chemical lights.Overall, the Cyalume ChemLights are a reliable, high-performance glow stick option for emergencies, tactical needs, or outdoor use. Dependable when it counts, and built to military specs.

Good for emergency lighting
Bought a supply of these after living through hurricane Irene this summer, and they're everything they claim to be.The packaging is sturdy and made for long-term storage, yet it just takes a second to rip one open and light it up. I've tried both the "commercial grade" and the "military grade" (these are the milspec), and the military grade seems to burn somewhat brighter and longer, although to a great degree, intensity and duration depend on ambient temperature. I've noticed that in warmer temperatures, you get a brighter light that doesn't quite last as long, while in the cold, you get a dimmer light that lasts much longer. These are the long duration light sticks. They aren't as bright as the "high intensity" ones, but instead of 30 minutes, these last at least 8 hours (in cold weather, I've had some producing useful amounts of light for about 12 hours).Requiring no batteries or electricity, these are safe in hostile environments, such as when investigating a gas leak. They're also bright and strong enough to make a good replacement for road flares. They're also lightweight, safe for kids and handy on the boat for emergency lighting.Everyone should have a supply on hand for emergencies - definitely recommended.

High Quality.
I added these to my family first-aid kit. We used one and the white color is great. Hope I never need them, glad I have them.

Bright
Like the name says, "military grade" which to me means bright and last long which is true for these. I have the blue and green too all very bright and last 12 hours plus with at least 9 hours of bright light.
