Good value for two remote control outlets
I use typically remote control outlets for outdoor Christmas lighting and water fountains.Regarding BESTTEN product:PRO’S:• LED light on remote confirms operation and battery condition.• LED light on outlets confirms operation• Remote control range seems good. I use it through a wall to the outside.• The outlets are relatively compact.• Attractive pricing for two outlets and remotes.• Batteries includedCON’S• The short outlet cords are stiff.• I would prefer AAA battery for longer life instead of a button cell.• The remote feels a bit “cheap” but works well.

Good product but poor instructions.
This product works just like it’s supposed to with one remote and several strings of LED lights on an indoor tree. (I bought a two pack just in case.)But I give it only four stars because there are problems with the battery diagram / written instructions (User Manual) / the warning on the outlet / Amazon’s website. Specifically:The polarity diagram inside of the battery compartment is not clear and the battery can be physically inserted in the remote control either way. When installed, the + side of the battery should be visible.I agree with earlier comments that Page 3 instructions are improperly written and that the remote’s button should be pressed during the 29 second learning mode.Page 4 of the instructions has a warning all in capitals to “*PLUG INTO GROUND FAULT PROTECTED RECEPTACLE ONLY.” I imagine that the undefined asterisk indicates this is only required for outdoor use. A similar warning appears on the box.On the back of the remote outlet, in fine print, is “Warning: Outlet must be mounted in a vertical position with outlets facing downward and be at least 55” (1.4 m) above ground level.” This is probably to keep water out of the outlet but I wonder how many outdoor electrical supplies to these outlets are more than five feet above ground. Finally, perhaps nit-picking, the stiff power cords are folded over in the box and are really difficult to keep straight. The packaging should be changed so the power cords are shipped straight, i.e. a longer box.

Worked well, but read the directions carefully....
Directions could be clearer. Per directions I waited 29 seconds then pressed the button. It should say during the 29 seconds press the button.

Should have got these sooner.
For years I have manually operated my holiday lights using external but covered power sockets. I programmed both of the included switches to operate from a single remote (2 supplied) and now I can turn my lights on/off with a touch of the remote button from inside my home. Seem to have good range and worked without any issues this past holiday season. Recommended.

Well priced and do work, but range less than expected, and must be repaired after power loss
good value and worked as expected. Note that these are not really weatherproof, but they do work outside if protected from direct rainfall. Range was less than expected, 30-40ft perhaps, and also note that if using outside, range may be even less when operated from inside, because most modern houses will ‘low-e’ windows for better insulation, and the metallic coatings used in most low-e windows block transmission of radio waves, whether from a cell phone or the remotes used by these wireless switches. Also, if the circuit the switches are plugged into has a power outage, remote stops working until you reset and repair the remote with your switch - a pain and something I expect more costly units avoid by using a circuit with some nonvolatile memory incorporated.

Works well for lower wattage requirements
The plugs were very easy to pair with the remotes and do function at low temperatures. I did find that with my roof de-icing cable though that it didn’t heat up as much as when it was plugged directly into the outlet. It is a 240 ft cable and draws about 1200 watts overall which may have been the cause of the problem. It will work great for lights and other items that require less wattage. I will be trying it on my block heater soon and hopefully it will work for that purpose.
