These are excellent filters but what makes all the difference is the 1 inch nut on the top. This makes it much more easier for removal. I have a 2002 Ford F-150 and the oil filter is difficult to get to, making regular oil filter wrenches useless. The nut is a lifesaver.

Aside from OEM oil filters from the dealer these are the only other filters I use on my 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid. These fit snuggly and don't leak. I also love the ability to use a 1" racket to put these on and off. It makes the oil filter removal and replacement significantly easier than other filter types. These filter the oil very well and allow good flow so engine performance doesn't suffer at all. I use a 0W-20 manf. recommended synthetic oil for my oil changes with these filters and the combo works great. I perform oil changes every 5k miles and these hold up more than fine in that interval. I definitely recommend this filter to others as a solid OEM filter alternative.

I have used K&N Premium Oil Filters for years. Their proven design is reliable, they seem to do a great job of filtering contaminants from the oil. They have a sturdy feel to them, are not prone to crushing. Will continue to purchase as needed!

Superior filtration spoken by my local Toyota Dealer. Even showed me my used oil. I’ve used K&N products since my first car. Due to physical limitations I can no longer maintain my own car. The techs love these wrench off filters and thank me every time. I leave the air intake filter cleaner and the cabin filter cleaner in the trunk and they don’t charge me for cleaning them. Oh the oil looked used but it was a dark amber after 10k miles. So clearly you can run a little over on changes, however that’s never been my style. Thanks K&N for keeping my cars running and efficient for 34 years.

The 1” hex end makes oil changes so much easier. Toyota engineers must have tiny little hands based on the filter placement.

Replaced Royal Purple Filter on 2004 Pontiac Vibe. I have always used Royal Purple Filters, thought I'd give K&N Filters a try, seeing as how I use a performance cold air intake on my Vibe, Civic and Dakota. The wrench off feature...man, I thought it would be stupid, but it's amazing! No special silly tools needed that are cumbersome and sensitive to oily filters and hands. Easiest Oil change in a while, thus far my wife has driven 1700 miles on this filter, I ordered 2, thinking that I wouldn't see anything amazing after the first oil change. But I was incorrect, she's getting near 30mpg (rated for 31hwy) average now, whereas before she was getting closer to 27mpg combined. She also has more power on tap, or so she says, and she doesn't have a heavy foot like me. I'd definitely recommend this for even the most inexperienced home mechanic and the seasoned pro. I think I might be in between those two classifications. :) FYI, Vibe has 98,945 miles on it, and runs better than ever. I'll be ordering these from now on for my '01 Dakota and '12 Civic.

These filters are my number one choice on all the automotive filters. K&N quality is well known snd I’d prefer to pay more for quality filters. I have these in all my cars and I would recommend them anytime.
