The Great Gatsby: Annotated Edition (Evergreens) Paperback – October 20, 2016

I read this under the advisement of a writing coach. I was impressed with Fitzgerald's descriptiveness. It creates a vivid image without it overbearing dialogue or narrative. Fitzgerald's awareness of the inner struggles is apparent in well developed characters. The story is full of irony and creates a portrait of some lives, imbued with sad brush strokes of truth. The writing is excellent and aside from personal preferences of genre and style, I recommend this read to anyone interested well developed prose.

I had not read any of Fitzgerald's work so thought I would start with the Great Gatsby. I loved it! Have always wanted to see movie versions but had to read it first. Fitzgerald had a very unique writing style that could almost be described as quirky. I'm planning to start from the beginning & read This Side of Paradise next.

Loved the movie, loved the book even more! I always wonder when I buy used books what I will get! This book didn’t disappoint! Perfect condition, although it was described in ok condition. Buying books from amazon vendors has never failed me, and I buy many books! No folds, tears, smudges, or residue from food (for real book readers...lol)

This book was offered as an extra credit assignment for my English class, and it was just lovely. Honestly, I hate how the original cover looks, so to receive an alternative, such as this book, was really nice haha

Its a pleasure watching my teenage son discover the greatness of his writing.

Got for a school project, it's a sturdy book and the binding is great

The material and design of the cover are awesome. The book is also great.
