So, one of my initial pool maintenance guys told me it was a matter of time before I get algae in my pool... He no longer maintains my pool.Despite keeping my free chlorine level at 3-5 and weekly shock, I ended up with green algae in my multicyclone prefilter. My main filters were also coated with green algae but not the pool. I started using copper-based algaecide that worked great at getting rid of the algae, but stained my pool. Luckily, I was able to get stain out with lots of vitamin C (reducing agent) and another product that binds and removes metals (can't recall the name)I then stumbled on this product, read a bunch of reviews on it and tried it out. It's worked great for the past 1 yr that I've been using it with chlorine levels btw 1 - 4 and phosphate < 100. No visible algae anywhere in my pool system unless chlorine drops to zero, then specks of green start under the dirt collected in the multicyclone prefilter.I still put in a little bit (under dosed) of copper-based algaecide from time to time (more from paranoia than anything else).

I have tried other products but had to come back to this one. Effective potent and does the job keeping algae at bay. My pool is easier to maintain with this quality product and is more affordable due to the concentration and strength of this product. I highly recommend this product to others.

Been using this product for a few years now. I buy 6 bottels at a time. Its expensive, but it seems to work.

I had a lot of visible algae growth in my pool in early March. I brushed the pool and super shocked it which helped. But after brushing and running the filter for 48 hours, it was still a pea green pool. I added about 2/3's of the recommended dosage of RxClear and ran the filter for 24 hours and the water was amazingly clear and blue the next day. After vacuuming up all the dead algae, balancing the chemicals, and running the filter overnight again, the water is crystal clear and ready for swimming. I'd swim but the water is only 56°! I've used other 60% algaecide's in the past, but this is by far the best.

I have struggled with mustard algae for a couple years and this product just did not seem to help even slow the growth.

Rx Clear is fantastic. For four seasons we constantly fought algae using many different products. Last season I once again was shopping for an algaecide and came across Rx Clear on Amazon. I figured I’d give it a try and I’m so glad I did. For the past two years we have not had a speck of algae. This algaecide is amazing. I just do a weekly maintenance dose and have not had a sign of algae. I definitely would recommend this product. Rx Clear is a must have if you have a pool.

I put half a bottle a week in my 33,600 gallon gunite pool and have have zero algae this year. I also use rapid shock once a week. I have had zero algae. I never used it in previous years, only the shock due to the expense. This is cheaper than my pool store and worth the money to not be concerned about algae. Pool has been over 80 degrees for weeks now with lots of rain and my pool has never looked this good.
