Great product
Full disclosureI'm just about 83 and recently out of radiation therapy (stereotactic) It took me 5 days to put this up. 3 years ago maybe 3 hours. House was built in 1929. Originally knob and tube. Rewired in the 70s. No ground. No junction box just a 1/2 " NPT nipple anchored to ceiling joist, part needed was in the box. I kinda did a part every day. Finished in 5. Instructions were succinct and simple. All parts were well made and fit perfectly. Everything lined up. Do make sure the receiver is snugly placed in the housing. Some of the reviews about the fan direction were.. well it's not quantum physics. A quick turn of the globe and you're in. You only need do this twice a year. The remote is very intuitive and works perfectly. Use the supplied bulbs elsewhere they're 2500k. I need 5000k. The fan is dead quiet and required zero blade balancing.Complaints. This fan is a sub-assembly and for some reason only the Chinese can manufacture sub assemblies. Why can't we make this in the US? It's parts mostly automated and packed. I would gladly have paid more for a North American productAll that said you won't be disappointed

Good fans but lousy customer service!
I bought four of these for my recent renovation. They look really nice and clean and they fade into the background. The light is nice and diffused by the frosted globe and the fans puts out a nice amount of airflow with absolutely no noise. But read on.Their Customer Service (CS) is awful! After my electrician hung all four fans, one did not work. After holding for over 50 minutes for CS, I gave up and tried the chat option. I had to answer some preliminary questions for which I had to consult my electrician. Once answered, I did not get resolution. Instead, I was given multi-step instructions involving changing the wiring of the fan which was installed. At this point I explained that I wasn’t qualified to do this. CS persisted and when I asked for a supervisor, I was told to call the same number that I originally called. I finally just bought another fan and replaced it which called for another electrician visit and more money outlay.I will continue my battle with them for a refund of this dysfunctional fan. It’s a shame because I’ve had Hunter fans in several houses over many years. It’s a shame that this formerly well-respected company has sunk to this level.

Very Quiet Operation -like the replaceable bulbs
Good price for excellent ceiling fan. I wired fan and light to seperate on-off switches on the wall set up for previous ceiling fan I had in this bedroom. Then you only need the remote to adjust fan speed. I set fan to low speed and it always goes on and off at the wall switch to this speed. I just put the remote in a drawer. I copied this wiring diagram from another customer that posted a reviewhttps://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51hgJid-kxL.jpgWiring the light direct to a wall switch allows you to add a dimmer as well. Real selling feature for me was screw in LED light bulbs. The fan came with two equivalent 60 watt bulbs and I replaced with 100 watt equivalent, soft white LED bulbs (dimmable) from Home Depot. Plenty of light for a 14’x14’ bedroom. When they burn out I can just by another bulb. Most of the other ceiling fans with LED light fixtures had a bespoke LED lamp you would have to order replacement from manufacturer if it ever failed. Also most were not very bright, usually 60 watt equivalent. I liked this fab enough I bought two more for the other bedrooms. Hope this helps.

Nice looking fan
Just completed the installation in the family room. The instructions were fair, but they did not show how to wire it up to the wall switch. So for the time being, I am relying solely on the remote. While the installation was pretty easy, installing the fan blades onto the motor assembly was difficult. I can see how installing the blades on a bench or work table is very simple, doing it on a tall ladder only works well if you have three arms and three hands. TOn a ladder, the fan blade alignment was close to impossible, especially when you are holding a screwdriver in one hand. I think the Hunter engineering team could have done much better with this, such as providing some cheap plastic hole alignment lugs to align the mounting holes during assembly. So far the fan, light, and remote seems to work as advertised. While the range of the remote is pretty marginal, it does the job. IMHO it looks pretty nice as well. I hope it lasts.

Beautiful and quiet!
We bought four of these fans to replace our 22 year old builder grade ones and couldn’t be happier. I love the four fan blades-a little bit different look. The biggest thing for me is that they are super quiet and don’t wobble at all on the highest speed. The remote is a plus as well so I can change the speed or turn off and on from the couch or bed. My hubby installed them without any issues. We’re super pleased with these fans and would definitely recommend.
