Much better than I expected.
I split my "a" nail and had to trim it way back. Very frustrating because it made it very difficult to play fingerstyle because even though the nail was trimmed as far back as possible, there was still a small split that would continually catch the high e string. Ouch!! I bought these finger picks because I as long as I kept playing without some kind of protection, my nail would never heal.I didn't expect much, and I also figured it would take a while to get used to a finger pick on one finger. I was wrong on both counts! I've used a thumb pick for years, but never finger picks. I instantly adapted to these, and their design still allows me to feel the string on the flesh of my finger. I got the hang of it in a minute and only wish I had purchased them sooner. I still prefer playing with my own nails, but this is a great way to continue practicing while my nail heals up.

Will break at some point
They are excellent at first, but after a few nights of playing at a kids camp they started snapping and splitting, I used them as an alternative to a guitar pick, and they can't withstand prolonged stress the way a pick can. As for all the other uses - they are ok. They also tend to get streched out by your fingers and loose the grip, which makes you loose them a lot too as they just snap off while playing. An interesting product, yet not a perfect replacement to a guitar pick.
