The 5-stars is in consideration for what these are - cheap, basically disposable earphones.Great deal for the money, not audiophile's dream.I use them with my metal detector, as I generally don't want to broadcast the chirps and squeals of the detector, and I didn't want to sink a bunch of $$$ in bulky, over-the-ear headsets. these are relatively discreet and I don't have to worry about babying them or losing them. I haven't lost or destroyed any yet - though wouldn't cry if I did.So, for podcasts or phone calls or metal detectors, these are great. For music, or movies, shell out a bit more for better sound.They are what they are. Good deal, no worries.

Great headphones. I go through headphones like crazy, and for the price these work great. The only downside is that the wire covering is a bit nonpliable. Hard to explain, but they are awkward to wrap. Other than that, these headphones work and are durable and also fit perfectly.

Since Skullcandy products are becoming scarce in my area, I am forced to look elsewhere. I hate the idea of paying $20 for two pair of Skullcandy earbuds via Amazon. Five pairs for $13-ish? Yes please.So, why the 3/5 rating then?These headphones fit comfortably in my ears, so no issues there. I don't have the need to use the microphone, so I can't give any opinions on that. The sound is clear, but low/muffled. (Perhaps that's intentional to preserve hearing as persistent sounds directly shot into the ear canals will potentially lead to hearing loss.)This feature is very important to me: there's absolutely NO noise isolation. If you want to drown out people on a noisy bus, airplane, etc, these will not work for such occasions. If you're in a quiet room, these will work fine.I'm now considering just shelling out the extra money for the Skullcandy earbuds.....

The headphones came well packaged and work very well! These came in a pack of 5 at a very reasonable price, and I didn't think they'd be as good quality as they are, but they are awesome!

Perfect fit, a clear, crisp quality sound, easily stored for quick access, durable but lightweight

First off, I'd like to mention that I've bought this product for myself on multiple occasions. I've got pets at home who are prone to cord chewing, so having multiple pairs from one purchase is what initially sold me.As the title suggests, these headphones are usually pretty durable and last me a while, a couple months if I'm lucky. The earbuds fit fine (however the rubber bit is incredibly prone to popping off of the headphones and I've had lost pieces to my headphones while using them at work), the mic usually works without issue, and I've never had the cord break on me outside of my cats chewing on it.However, my issue lies with the main purpose of these earbuds: the audio quality. Previously I was using a pair from this exact seller since November that had begun to show its wear, so I decided to stock back up. They arrived the day after purchasing and, unfortunately, when I went to try a pair, the audio I tested them on was extremely muffled. Using my old headphones as a reference and trying out ALL FIVE PAIRS, the only pair that had clear and consistent sound was the original set I intended to toss after buying the new sets. The new ones were muffled and volume ranged from too loud to too quiet with no volume change from my phone, and I even double checked to see if it was my iPhone adapter that was causing the issue (it was not). I'll be searching for better quality headphones elsewhere after this, since this isn't my first time having issues with multiple headphones from the same set.
