What is the best way to prep the plastic palette so it doesn't bead up? I've tried several things I read online to no avail. Any suggestions?

The best way I've found is to scrub all parts of a plastic palette with a steel wool soap pad ("SOS" pad). The main thing is to abrade the plastic. The rougher you can make the surface, the better. You might also try using a toothbrush with an abrasive scouring powder like Ajax or Comet. Good luck!
