don't buy - my espresso maker doesn't recognize water level with these
For some reason, my Saeco Xelsis doesn't recognize when water is low with these filters - it lets the water run below the bottom of this filter, causing the internal water circuit to empty which then means the machine cannot make coffee. This has happened with the genuine Phillips Saeco filters as well, but that was one time when the filter was cracked so that made sense. This is the second filter in a 2-pack, and the machine exhibited the same problems with the water circuit with both filters - but it took longer for the problems to occur with the first filter and started about a month after using the second one.

Not sure
My pump started making buzzing noises after using these, I removed them and the noise is better. It seemed like these were constricting the water flow.

Poor quality compared to the original filter
Compared to the original Philips filter - 1) carbon-rich, murky water was ejected during the filter reset cycle, and for the first 2 brew attempts thereafter; 2) on the subsequent 10 or so brew attempts, there were small carbon particles in the water and a carbon film on the surface (in places, not all over). Note that I soaked this filter in cold water for about 10 minutes hoping that issue #2 would go away, but it never quite did. I would spend the extra $$ and purchase the original filters.
