Excellent Cutter.
Best short handle cutter I've had; superior to my Rothenburger at much more money. Cuts through 63mm mdpe gas pipe effortlessly.

Surprisingly good product
Buying a good product is not enough we should have the knack to use it correctly and that comes from experience. This cutter cut through PPR pipe like hot knife through butter but all the cuts at the end went off track and didnt give the perfect straight cut. Made multiple attempts but stopped as i did not want to waste the pipe. Will have to spend some time on the product practicing to gain correct control. Very sure this will turn out to be good handy tool once i can control the cuts. Build and finish are good.

Absolutely shocking
I refuse to pay the £50/£60 that is being asked for plastic pipe slices that can be found on here. So I thought I'd give this gadget a whirl. Reading the previous reviews I had mixed thoughts, but guessed I'd only find out by purchasing the cutter myself. Without any sugar coating...... It's a pile of garbage. The blade is just not sharp enough. Even if it was, I'd be concerned about the lifespan of it, With other reviews stating that the rachets brake often. As the video shows, the cutter just crushes the pipes. It struggled to cut the overflow pipe, and left a very damaged end on the pipe. I tried it several times on different sizes of pipe. The only time it cut through the 32mm pipe is on the video, but left distorted end which ultimately would not fit in to any fitting. I also noticed 1 tooth on the rachet doesn't appear to have been manufactured correctly, with only half a tooth there. Needless to say, that would wear down quickly or just brake off.

Poor cutting performance
Doesn't work with bigger than 30mm pipes. It does not cut properly.

I received my PVC cutter today and immediately put it to use in repairing some PVC plumbing for my pool pump. It works really well and has no problem cutting through 1 1/2" Sch. 40 PVC. It's made from nicely finished, sturdy metal and the blade is razor sharp. 5 stars from me on this. I practiced using it on some scrap pipe before I began the real work and have a couple of tips to pass along. First, don't get in a hurry. If you go cranking down on a cut, there's a chance you will crack at least some of the pipe in doing so (even at a balmy 78 degrees at my home). Go slowly, take your time and it will slice through the PVC easily. Second, when you have begun your cut and the blade is barely into the PVC, hold the cutter in place and spin it around the circumference of the pipe as far as you can while trying to keep a straight line all the way around. This will establish a small starter cut around the pipe that weakens it slightly in that area so that if the pipe does crack during the cut, it will likely crack along that small starter cut instead of at whatever point happens to be weakest in the pipe at the time.

Does not cut straight. All these tools are useless, just use the grinding tool!
