Milocos 300W Submersible Aquarium Heater with Visible Temperature, Heaters for Fish Tanks Auto Built-in Thermostat with Suction Cup Heating Rod

I have turtles, and they won't eat in the winter if they get cold. Putting a glass heater in the tank is not an option because they destroy everything, and my previous two "unbreakable" heaters both died. I decided to try this one because of the sleeve that goes over the glass body. So far, my little destructors have not been able to break it, which is good. I'm giving it four stars because the setting directions are AWFUL!! So far, I'm pleased with the performance, but I had to figure out how to set it because the directions are useless. Basically, submerge the heater, plug it in, and push the button on the end to toggle through temp presets. You can increase by a degree at a time with the little button on the cord. Although the directions claim to be Celsius, mine displayed in Fahrenheit. I've only had it set up a few weeks, but I love the display because I always know the temp in the tank now.

Best heater I've had (this my 4th in 3 years). My active turtle cannot move it, because it has very strong suction cups which is important. He was always dislodging my old heaters and in the process always moved the flimsy dials that adjusted the temperature. But this heater is so well made, It has very strong suction cups, so he cant move it, though he still keeps trying. Also this heater has a push button on the side which is not accessible as well as an external adjuster. The temperature that it is set at is very visible in a small window with a continuous easy to read brightly lit red digital display. Also like the plastic covering which protects glass heater.

Read the reviews and thought it would be greatUnfortunately the thermostat is 4 degrees off and can't be calibrated i verrified this with the company... plus the useless blue light is so bright that it shines on my wall and i can see the shadows of the fish on the wall... there is no purpose for the blue light... because if it is heating then the red light is on if its not heating then the red light is off like every other heater works... no need for the blue one... if the thermostat was accurate and had no bright blue annoying light.. then i would have given it 5 stars

so far so good... At first when i plugged it in, it give me an messages, i think it was e1. Meaning that the ph levels we're off in the tank. that I needed to refill tank with fresh water. According to the instructions, i didn't go through with the ph matter. i just unplugged and plugged back in set the temperature to an high 90.... the heater gives off an bright blue and red light. red for heating, blue for stop heating. lights so bright got me thinking on getting led strips for the inside the tank. A big plus was the protective covering for the heater.

Well, I received the heater and it's all in Chinese, I can't read anything. It come with a set of written directions in English but can't relate any of it to diagrams on box, which explanations are written in Chinese. The English directions reference everything in Celsius but when I put the heater in and powered on it appears to be F. I have no idea if the heater is working properly bc I can't read any directions on how to set the temperature. If someone can give me a English users manual I will upgrade this review.UPDATE: instructions suck, but this is a awesome heater for the price. The English instructions make it even harder to understand. It's easy to setup, so not as bad as the instructions make it seem.

My wife has a 92 gallon corner bow front tank. She has it set up as a salt water feel tank and she needed a new heater. We purchased this one a few weeks months ago and it is working fantastically. We have had zero issues and it perfectly maintains our tanks temperature. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new heater!

Well heater is pretty sturdy it seems, I like the digital display! Instructions are very poorly written for English speaking folks, I too feared it would come on it Celsius but it did not! I keep getting this E1 error took me a while to figure out I needed to submerge the little knob also, once I did that all straightens out!

got extremely tired of the cheap heaters at wal-mart. finally got so fed up with them burning out or not being able to keep a stable temperature that i got two of these for my two 55 gallon tanks. they have both worked flawlessly ever since.
