They were large they were just very very tiny
The seller gave me the most beautiful large worms! I would totally buy again and shipping was very fast. And if you do have any problems they will correct it which is so awesome!

The Best Mealworms on Amazon 100%
Update 3/20/22 after multiple orders: Still legit. Still 99% alive. They don’t even go bonkers for fruit and veggies right away which tells me they’re on the verge of death or they’re already pretty satiated. They’re moving like crazy though so I think it’s the latter. This is via Amazon too dude.. where they are in who knows what temps then sitting on my porch for a couple hours. These guys deserve an award. I’ll be sure to update if something catastrophic happens. The only con… inconsistent packaging. The latest we’re in a shoddy taped up plastic container and the substrate looked nothing like the last ones. Could be different grow houses? Maybe it’s the size difference? Idk. Due to the container a bunch got out into the box. P.S. lol @ the review where the chick was pissed they didn’t include instructions. I have ordered mealworms from five different vendors over the last several months and these guys consistently have healthier mealies than any other vendor. You might have a handful of dead worms in a batch of 500. It’s actually pretty flipping amazing. These guys also consistently proceed into regular mealworm life cycles more consistently and reliably than other vendors I have procured from. Predator is literally the only place I am getting worms until proven otherwise. Other vendors require constant pruning and plucking of blacked and shriveled worms. It’s bad. Out of 500 worms, other vendors sometimes ship upwards of 25% dead ones and then you could lose another 100 over the next week or two. Not these guys. Predator worms are next level.

Delivered and 95% dead and smelled
I have purchased mealworms from this same vendor for years and every couple of months. Most times they are alive (majority of them) and a few times 50/50. This recent order 95% are half black/hard/starting to change color and super tiny (not large which is what I ordered) and smelled very badly. As soon as the package was delivered, I always grab it and open it and put them in my container especially if it is hot weather. This time most of them were dead and they are very tiny tiny worms. I must have order 20+ times. I requested to get a replacement but can't get anyone to respond to me and I was back and forward with Amazon representative and still no replacement or communications from the seller. My turtle ran out of worms and now I have nothing for him to eat. 10/8/23 - still have yet to hear back from seller despite Amazon rep set they will contact them and have them reply asap.

Live delivery!
This is my second time buying from this seller. 95% of the mealworms were alive on arrival during 40° temperatures to North Carolina. I am very satisfied with my purchase and recommend buying from the seller. The second photo shows a worm from this seller ( large) vrs a large worm from a major box store. They are the exact same size.

Convenient
I’ve bought these for few years now. Every time the worms come alive however not always they put them in a container. Sometimes they come in a bag with paper tissue inside and it’s a hassle taking them out.. they go everywhere! Definitely have to do it outside. Overall I’m satisfied it’s more convenient for me to buy online then drive to store.

Alive, BUT TINY
Arrived on time and alive, but nothing about these are large. I have a full sized Beardie and False Chameleon, these are SO small they would have to eat the whole container for a single meal. I have had cricket turds bigger than these worms.

Why just a bag with no food nor instructions?
Good news is all these worms are alive and healthy. I've had nothing but problems from Josh's, so this was a nice change. However. What the actual fluff... what am I supposed to do with a mesh & paper bag of worms? Getting them all de-clamped out of the bag and paper was a GD mess! Also, there was no food included. The listing shows a plastic container, for which I'm familiar. This is the first time I've bought 500 ct, and all the lesser quantities came with a holey-lid plastic cup and their oatmeal-ish food. What resulted seems a bit shy of 500... now I'm not going to count them and it's true there's no food with them like normal, but the picture supposedly is 500. I don't know. If the manufacturer wants to leave some good non-messy unpacking and food container suggestions in response here, I'll up my rating. All-in-all, at least I thank them for live worms.
