Bought for daughter for Christmas. Not used it yet so can’t comment on the quality but seems okay.

He's 9 years old and he didn't need much help from me, luckily he had a plain white t shirt in his overnight bag which he used to create a tye dye t shirt, he used nearly every colour and the final result was amazing, he took the t shirt home with him and his dad(my son) thought I had treated him to a new t shirt until we put him right, my son was impressed by it, well we all was!Its actually fairly easy to use and gives great results.I can highly recommend, we used this with no issues.I can't comment on whether it's good value for money or not as it's currently unavailable on amazon at the moment but at a guess I'd say its around £20.Good quality too.

This is a great little craft kit for creating your own tie dye creations, you can use this to easily add tie dye colours & effects to clothes, wall art & fabric, each piece is totally unique.Included with this kit are full instructions with pictures that are clear to understand & very easy to follow, this is intended for children age 6+ To use with an adult present for safety reasons.Also included is the tie dye station, which is essentially a small plastic bowl with a lid that can also serve as a base, 1 x pack of elastic bands 4 x bottles for your dyes, 8 x powdered inks to create your dyes, 1 x pair of disposable gloves, 2 x sticker strips, 2 x stands that interlock at the base to store your bottles & bands & a sieve shelf.The dye colours are vibrant & all work very well, I do find the tie dye station (bowl) a little on the small side to use but as this has been designed for kids to use it is adequate, plus you don’t actually need much space for creating your tie dye effects as you’re required to fold up your fabric or clothes then tie the elastic bands around them.You can certainly have a lot of fun with this whilst making your own one of kind creations in the process, as well as keeping the kids busy & encouraging their creativity.

You get dye powders, elastic bands, gloves, plastic bowl, bottles to hold your die in while dying clothes & 2 holders for each side of the bowl ( would suggest getting other gloves) It is quick, easy & fun with hardly any mess as it’s all the the plastic bowl & drainer! You have each side that is able to hold the bottles, elastic bands, gloves etc. love that you get the plastic bowl to die your items in then you get the drainer to rinse your item with which means nothing gets die on it other than your items. You only rinse your items with water once die has been done, remove the elastic bands then let it / them dry. Rinse everything out & it can be used again & again!!

I have included a picture of everything that came in the box.The good...The bowl is brilliant for mess free tie die, it has a grid so any drips are collected in the bowl without it getting onto parts of the fabric that you don't want the colour on. There is a lovely collection of colours included and they give really nice and bright colours once on fabric. The elastic bands which are included are nice and strong. The base of the bowl doubles as a lid so it can be used as a tub to store the bits in.The bad...There are two green pieces of plastic included which clip onto the base/lid of the bowl, they're totally pointless and such a waste. The bottles aren't the best quality, one of mine had lids which didn't really stay on if the bottle was squeezed which caused a mess. The instructions of how to do different folds to get different results are very basic, I had to google to get it right. Some stickers are included to stick onto the bottles, waste of time, if they want it branded they should do it before selling it.In conclusion I think the bowl is a brilliant idea, it really does make it so much easier and causes much less mess than doing it on a plastic sheet like other kits provide. I would probably recommend this purely based on the bowl provided, it's such a good idea.

The kit seems to be a nice weekend activity for ages 6 and above. However, my 4 year old also participated with a little help. There are nice selection of colors and everything that is required to do tie dye. The tie dye comes out to be perfect if the instructions are followed correctly.We did try to recreate two patterns but didn't end up with the correct ones though the fabric (we used white t-shirt) had a nice and balanced amount of colors and looks nice and decent.I would suggest to include a step by step clearer instructions for all the common patterns.

We had a lot of fun with the dying but I guess the main aim of the exercise was to produce a fun coloured wearable garment. There was a lot of unnecessary plastic stuff and the lids on the dye bottle we're incomplete so the dye leaked out when stored. Sadly the colours were so feint as to be unrecognisable. We were very disappointed with the result 😩
