These chili flakes aren't nuclear spicy but not weak either. They pack a medium high punch in the tastebuds without being overwhelming or bitter. They're a nice addition to your food or great for making Chinese chili oil. Great flavor!

Spicy and the large bag lasts for a while.

I'm giving it 4 stars because the last time I purchased this, I bought the large bag and it had a 6 month expiration date. This time I bought the smaller bag and it has an expiration date a couple years out. Their isn't much heat after the expiration date, it just adds color.

I bought these specifically to make chili oil. I am not disappointed. They are awesome. I had the oil today with a spicy vegetable soup over rice. Delicious. I can see me re-ordering this when the bag is finished.

Yummy. I fried it with garlic, shallots,onions and thin sliced Serrano peppers. Put these flakes in at the end. Then let it cool down and added some soy sauce and tom yum paste. Luv on rice , noodles or Anything. I keep the rest in a glass jar. Try some.

This is perfect for my at-home make my own favorite Chinese dishes. Adds just the right amount of spice you find in takeout.
