So this is for a single side or both sides?

It depends. In installed 2 on each side so I bought two of them. Install is very easy. U don’t need to drill any new holes to attach it, just use existing whole for bumper holder. Then still appropriate size whole in pumper for release button.

What are the springs and special washers for. They are in a bag together.

Are these strong enough to hold you hood without using the oem latch?

I used mine to hold on front nose. I wouldnt trust them to hold a hood down tho. Aero latch is better suited for this application. Hope this helps

Will it work for 1985 c10 hood

They might work but are kinda small for a hood pin. 1/4 stud with ball on end that button clicks onto to complete assembly. Easy to install but not what would be best for your application. Check aero latches out.
