Perfect, exactly as it says
I actually ordered the entire set at one go as a present for the wife. She had always wanted to read them, had gotten great reviews from friends who have read them, but was unsure of watching the TV show before reading them so got them all ordered. The set itself with the others look really good stacked side by side on the shelf. The paper quality and print is standard but very good.Only issue (which is more personal than quality) is the print is quite small so she has had to limit herself to how much she reads at a time as it was causing headaches (others have said the same so may not be just her)

Flimsy box
This isn’t a review of the books themselves - if you’ve read this far already, you’re probably going to read these regardless of the views of some random person on the internet - but I will say that it was book 8 or 9 where the pace of the story felt like it started to slow down, perhaps as Jordan’s health started to worsen. This is where the so called “slog” starts, which I don’t think is a fair characterisation, and is perhaps more influenced by the fact that when we were first reading these it became noticeable that the time between books being released increased and some of the storylines (Perrin for example) involved not a lot of anything happening. Re-reading the books back to back minimises that feeling, I think.I ordered these to replace copies previously loaned out and lost, and to have a uniform set.I have quickly leafed through the volumes and there are no obvious misprints, but I haven’t sat down to re-read them yet.As others have noted, the books are printed so as to reduce paper usage, meaning that most chapters begin on the same page that the previous chapter finished. I am OK with this but others may not like it.The book covers do not have - thankfully, as I hate it - the “now a series on Amazon Prime” sticker. My only complaint is that the illustration on the Amazon listing suggests that the presentation box is made of quite thick card, which is the only reason I paid more (£26) for the three books together than I would have paid if I simply bought the three paperbacks at £7 each. The card used to make the box is about the thickness of a cereal packet and will be very easily damaged. It is prettily printed, but probably not worth the extra money. It also isn’t clear why this set costs more than the others, but I think (having preordered the final two boxes) I have still saved over all.

Its a long road
Am working my way through the whole series of books & its been a hard road to travel .Seems very repetitive in places even after a paragraph the same narrative can appear again . In my opinion these booked have pages & pages of filler & the editor was prob asleep on the job . Anyway sure you have your own thoughts .Will continue till the end & see what the outcome is ?
