Great product great price
As I said I would recommend this product especially given the price that I paid for it it was well under $200 and was a refurbished or slightly used version the only and one and only complaint I had was that the power-up cord comes unplugged from the itself way too easily and this is easily remedy at home with a little macgyverism the two plugs provided to power up a computer where they attached together at the power supply come apart with a light wind so don't expect to be moving around and it could be just relative to this power cord again it's a solution a problem that has an easy solution at home I simply put a dab of Super Glue at the Union on the mail end allowed it to dry completely 48 hours and then it created some friction once plugged in very happy with the computer and how it functions

so far this laptop has been great, especially for the price. my only complaint- it was listed as being windows 10 & it came with windows 11. but it was really easy to learn- so no big deal.

Ups and downs, but I won't buy a Gateway again
It operates really well in many ways, for example, I've been very impressed with the ssd and will now only go with computers that use that in the future. However, from the start I disliked the touchpad. It never seemed to respond correctly. Sometimes I would have to really apply pressure to get it to respond, while with other times it would click if my finger seemed to even be close to it. I can't count the number of times I opened files, videos, links, etc. when I didn't actually mean to because of this. After roughly a year, the touchpad began to pop out from the body of the computer, and at this point it makes some functions, like the right click, even more difficult. I think this was caused by picking it up while open from the front rather than the sides, although no other laptop I've had has done this. The battery also died in less than a year, and does not have the option to be replaced. It can last about 30 seconds without being plugged in before it shuts down. I do not plan to ever buy a Gateway again.

Decent, though be wary
While a good laptop overall, especially if you aren't gaming or some such, ordering a refurbished part does have its downsides. My laptop, as an example, has a faulty audio jack that makes it conflict with both the inbuilt microphone and has the two sound channels conflict(even when set to mono). Thankfully and easy problem to solve, but you might not be as lucky. As for battery life, it's decent enough when you actively power limit it, lower brightness, and don't plug too many things in, but you aren't going to get all day out of it. So far, my tests put it at around 6 hours for light browsing, though this is a rather informal number and test as I neglected to mark the starting point of it(oops). In terms of performance it is, again, amazing for the price. The tiger lake i3 in this unit is more than fast enough for even light gaming and emulation, with the integrated graphics only being a big bottleneck in either new titles or semi-demanding ones that use Direct X 9. While the graphics drivers have their problems, they aren't enough to be a deal breaker for low end systems. The RAM amount is where things get messy. I've disabled most things on the system, including much that most wouldn't, and I find myself at 4gb used, a full half of it, with just this browser open. Heavy Gaming, Discord, and listening to music at the same time is a bit out of this device's reach unless you're using Linux.Overall? Solid product with the only issues being things that might not impact most people.

Not Worth the Hassle
I ordered this in Nov 2022 and gave them (2 of these) to my sons for Valentines Day. Within the first 2 weeks of using them, screws started coming out and the feet came off the bottom. They overheat constantly and the A/C adapter is huge and does not stay in the wall very well. Now, 6 months of using and one of them has had graphics card issues, and now will not even power on.I would not recommend this laptop to anyone.

Nice computer
The only problem I have with this computer is that the battery doesn't hold a charge very well, otherwise I like it and all it does.
