This gate is very well built and thoughtfully designed. Installation was straightforward—not overly complicated—and the instructions were clear. Once installed, it operates smoothly and feels very secure. One of the best features is that it can swing in either direction, which adds flexibility depending on your space. Most importantly, it’s difficult enough that a toddler can’t open it, which gives us peace of mind. A great safety solution that looks and functions well.

This has been our favorite baby gate by far it has an easy one-hand opening feature, but is challenging for toddlers. I do wish it auto closed, but all the other features make up for it. You can set it up to swing whichever way you want, it's easy for an adult to take on and off the wall if you need to move it out of the way (so not retractable, but removable and easy to pop on and off as needed). It's also width adjustable to fit your opening. My favorite feature though, is that it has no trip bar at the bottom - which is needed if it's at the top of the stairs, and definitely a nice feature to have anywhere else. It's been very high quality and feels very stable. We have one that's still going strong after 3 years. We've also bought others in that time. I will never buy a different baby gate again!

This is an amazing baby gate, I installed it at the top of my stairs and it's a nice heavy duty metal with a locking latch no kid can open. If they did that would be impressive. Funtions as needed, easy width adjustment, wide swing angle. It DOES have a clicking noise when it locks so if you have a easy wake kid near this it COULD wake them. But if you hold the top locking part down it's silent.

The quality is very good, and although it’s not super heavy, it has some heft to it. That was the only reason kept me going, because the installation is just so time consuming for the lack of fine adjustments. I measured like 10 times, and even used double sided tape and zip ties to attach the hinges, some of our baby toys under the gate to match 4” under the gate everywhere, and assembled the gate on the hinges and adjusted the four outward bolts, but I still ended up with crooked gate after I screwed it down. The screw holes don’t let you fine tune it, which is my biggest complaint. Slight adjustment to outward bolts at hinges will ruin all your other adjustments since it will move the other side up or down, so these screw holes should have slight tolerance to move around. I used Summer Banister to Banister gate kit because I didn’t want to drill into our stainless posts, and that one has its own set of problems, but end result is pretty. Overall, it’s a classy gate, and after several hours of fine tuning, it’s almost perfect now. I even removed all the end caps at the center and replaced the front and back gate parts order so when the gate is open it stays flat to the side glass panels. I managed to strip one screw, so don’t over tighten them: housing is plastic after all. I did a ton of research before ordering this gate, and for my 47” opening, there was very few options, and this looked the best. If you get this, install it on a day you are calm and take your time. I normally dont write reviews but this gate deserves one. Let me describe what I didn't want. I didn't want a gate that just opened in the middle and you had to walk through a narrower passage. I wanted the entire gate to swing open. Im a big guy and didn't want something I can potentially hit the sides as I'm walking through causing it to fall or damage the product or worse damaging my walls. Also, I didn't want a gate that had a bottom that was planted on the floor that can potentially be a trip hazard or something I could stub my toes on. A No bottom gate would allow me to sweep and mop the floor without an obstruction in the way as well. I also didn't want a flimsy gate. I wanted something sturdy and something I could drill into my wood banisters because I wanted something more permanent and not temporary. A gate that can stand the test of time. I can always patch the holes and paint over it anyways. I also didn't want a gate that was complicated on opening and closing. I hate the ones where you have to lift up something to access a button you press and than pull and lift up smh. There's gates that are so complicated. I needed simplicity on opening a gate. Even though this gate is simple to open, my teenage daughter couldnt figure out how to open it at first lol so it is baby proof but still easier than most. I didn't get this gate for a baby though I got this for my 2 dogs that I don't want upstairs on my brand new carpet. This gate checked all the boxes for me and I couldn't be happier. Some people had problems installing this but I thought it was pretty simple for me but maybe because im pretty handy with tools. I'd highly recommend using a drill and predrilling the holes to make it easier to put in the screws. They are long wood screws and screwing in these by hand without predrilling would be pretty difficult. Just a side note...if you have toddlers you want to keep from going down the stairs or protect them from falling down the stairs, I would highly recommend this gate for the top of the stairs mainly because on how sturdy this is and how there is no bottom to trip on. The design looks great and the best part after all that is it's super affordable. There's tons of gates that were seventy five bucks or more. I couldnt imagine spending over a hundred bucks for one when this one exist. 5 stars!

These are the best baby gates we've had. Not only do they look nice, and fit a wide variety of door and stairways, but they include templates to make them very easy to install. They gates are strong and shut securely, when adjusted. Excellent product!

WE LOVE THIS GATE! It is easy to use, easy to install and even has a feature to lock it. We love that the gate can swing both directions and is so easy to adjust in case it gets pulled on or misaligned. Wish there were a couple more color options but this is a gate baby gate! Definitely worth the buy, the quality is great, design is good and works perfectly at the top of our stairs.

After doing a lot of research, I settled on this baby gate for the top of our stairs. We live in a two bedroom apartment with stairs inside that lead to our living space, so we needed a quality gate as we have two young children. The installation was a breeze following the instructions provided and utilizing a stud finder. Not only does it look nice, but after having the gate for a couples months I can say I am satisfied with this purchase. The gate is sturdy, quick to unlock while still preventing little hands from escaping. The width is perfect with our stairway as it’s easily adjustable, and the dimensions matched the description well.
