AlmayEyeliner Pen, Black, 1 count

I like a couple of things about this eyeliner. First is that it's all day wear proof--I can apply it once in the morning and it doesn't fade or smudge into my crease (yet somehow it's easy to remove with water). Second is that the navy blue color is really beautiful. It's a much less harsh alternative to a black eyeliner, but it's not so obvious a blue that it sticks out as "blue!". Something about the blue really brightens and whitens my eyes, making them seem more bright and healthy. Third, it's buildable. I can thin it out into a soft blue by smudging right after applying, or I can apply twice for a thicker and darker blue.

I say oddly because I had already bought this at the drugstore, loved it, and was simply ordering on Amazon for convenience. When the tube arrived, it was a different color than the previous one and the liner itself was a very dark brown, compared to the medium brown. I figured I would at least use this tube but nope, the tip was rounded and the liner would collect at the end so that you'd get a blob rather than a line. I had to throw it out.

As much as I love Amazon I will never buy any of their cosmetics again. I’ve read reviews saying they probably add alcohol and water their products down and now I believe it. Every time I open this liner I get a strong smell of alcohol or something immediately. Compared to the ones I’ve bought in my local drug stores it goes on like a watered down black liner. Have to go over it about three times to get it to even look black.I’ve noticed this about other hair products also. I’m done buying cosmetics through Amazon.

The ball point is amazing. It gets into spots where some liners would miss and you'd have to go back over. I have always used liquid eyeliner where a lot of people dont because they say it's too difficult but if you want to try liquid you should definitely try with this. I will never buy any other eyeliner again! The ball tip can make thin lines, or thicker lines, cat eye, etc. Love love love!!!!

I had previously purchased the brown from a drug store, and I loved it! BUT….. this is labeled as the same product and the same color, but it is NOT brown… it is black. So disappointed. When I came on here to write this review, I see that another reviewer posted their picture showing that it is black instead of the brown previously purchased at the drugstore, just like my experience. Wish I had read the reviews first, but I didn’t think it was necessary since I was purchasing the same product that I already had.

This navy liner is really pretty. It's not electric blue like some crazy liquid liners right now. It's a true, deep navy that would be appropriate for the workplace. I do not have a problem with the ballpoint end, though it does take some getting used to. My only complaint is that at the the slightest hint of water this eyeliner completely comes off. Like, if maybe your eye waters a little and a single drop of moisture forms in the corner of your eye--this liner disappears. Interestingly, it does not transfer to my upper lid when worn all day, which is great. I used it over a shadow primer. For comparison my usual eyeliner is Loreal Lineur intense in Black Mica, which goes the distance.

I've bought the Almay Eyeliner Pens (2 pack) for years through Amazon and they have always worked wonderfully and lasted a long time. This is the first time I received a pen that did not work. It barely gave any eyeliner at all, even after shaking repeatedly. The 2nd pen I received in that pack worked perfectly, as expected. I'm disappointed however that there is no return policy on this item, so I'm unable to get a replacement pen for the defective one. I will continue to order these from Amazon, however.

First off I love the felt tip and ease of application. The navy is not dark enough for my taste it’s a bright dark if that can explain it. More a royal blue than dark navy. That said, it smudged more than my favorite elf coffee liquid eyeliner that is not waterproof. And is at more economical price to boot. Not sure if I would try this one in a dark brown for 10 bucks vs 2 bucks for my elf. Maybe if it was on sale. I will give this to my daughter since there is no return policy. I do love the applicator. Shame this was t a true “hit” for me more of a “miss”. All well - sometimes it’s better to stick with what works for you ;) but I tried
