Tiger Flamed Maple Viola Shoulder Rest up to 16"

This shoulder rest would have been nice however, one of the adjustments came with a stripped screw, so it does not adjust for the comfort of the musician. I only give it two stars because it is still usable.

I play a rather large (wide-rib) viola, and finding a shoulder rest that will give the instrument comfortable support has been a challenge. This is a simple, high-quality and sturdy carved wooden shoulder rest with moulded rubber feet, similar to the Kun in every detail, but at the fraction of the price. A handy flannel rosin cloth was also in the box.

Have had to spend TOO much money on viola accessories, especially considering I only play it when I'm helping a student. This was a wonderful shoulder rest for very little money. Yes, I know, someone will point out that I could have gotten a much better one, but it was great FOR THE PRICE! And sometimes we don't need a BMW, a little Tercel will do just fine...

Bought for my daughter. She just went up to a 15" viola and loves this shoulder rest. Thankfully it can grow with her and seems to be of good quality so I won't need to purchase her another one until she has a viola of her own and not a rental.

This worked GREAT for my son, who plays the viola. What a relief! He had a concert coming up & really needed it. We didn't have time to mess around with finding a replacement & we were very pleased with the craftsmanship! Thank you Vio Music! And Prime! You saved our bacon!!!

Shipped promptly, product as described, was a bit tricky to get on, but functions well.

I have a 15 1/2 inch viola, and this shoulder rest is way too wide to fit it, although the description claims the size to fit a 15" - 16" viola. Will be returning.

This is a good shoulder rest. But be warned the color is very different than the one in the photo. IT is a very bright orange - think of Tigger in Winnie the pooh and that will give you a better idea of the color.
