Japanese usually divide their make up into point make up (mascara, eyeshadows, lipstick) and base make up (foundation, primer). Normally a make up remover for stubborn point make up like waterproof mascara is a separate category, followed by something like this gel to remove your sunscreen, primer and foundation. After all your make up is removed, you would use a cleansing foam to thoroughly cleanse your face and prep it for moisturizing.So, if you wear strong make up like waterproof mascara, smudge - proof lipstick and skin-clinging eyeshadows, I would advise to use a specially designed eye and lip make up remover, like elemis white flowers first. Then this gel will remove your foundation, concealer etc quite easily. I follow it with a good soap foam made with the foaming net. Or, alternatively you can try Curel's ready made foam, but it didn't work for me - it stings my skin. Gentle foam following this gel cleanser makes sure my skin is not stripped of it's vital protective barrier.All in all it is a reliable base make-up remover and a good value for money.

Been using this makeup remover gel for a long time. Always a big fans. Basically you don’t need any cotton pad, just message the gel directly on the face for 1 or 2 mins, then rinse it with water, done! It’s not oily or dry, my skin feel so clean and moist.One thing is it may not strong enough for waterproof mascara or heavy makeup.But for me, removing causal thin makeup or sunscreen is perfect! Highly recommended

It is gel texture, so after washing you face with it, it sill feels not 100% clean...However the ingredients from this product are famous for being healthy and good, so if you only want something to remove light makeups, it's fine to use this one. If you applied heavy makeups, better to use other oil based makeup removal products.

Goes on like a dream, makes my skin feel amazing and is especially good for sensitive skin like mine, will be ordering again

Melts foundation nicely but I do find I have to do the two step routine at least twice to get rid of everything and I'm always still left with mascara smears on my face which it struggles to remove. (my mascara isn't waterproof or anything). I love the foam wash, I havent tried the cleansing oil with it yet but I think it will work better than the cleansing gel did so I will order that next.
