If you think Nancy Kerrigan and record sales of I Phones are significant in history than yesthis is the calendar for you. If you want to learn about significant historical events thenit's rubbish - will not buy again.Also I noticed the exact same events in this calendar are broadcast on the radio and TV as "on thisday in history"It was a gift to someone who loves history and I'm embarrassed !!!

This was really disappointing. Of the last 14 days I've only found one event mildly interesting. Would not purchase again, for myself or anyone else. The only reason to buy this as a gift for someone is if you really don't like them and want a subtle way of letting them know, lol. Shipping was pretty slow too for an Amazon prime purchase.

I bought this as a Christmas gift and it's all right. Each day has a different historical event and that part is great. What I do not like is that there are no pictures. It's black and white, no pictures and feels a bit cheap. I assumed the inside would look more like the box its contained in with colorful, interesting photos. Intriguing facts, but especially for a Christmas gift I was hoping for better. As long as you know what you're getting, I suppose it's fine.

It looks like the company took cheap printer paper and printed the information on there to make these calendars. I had the "This Day In Military History" calendar last year and it was much higher quality than this. I'll attach pics so you could see the difference.

I am so glad that This Day in History has come back out with a calendar devoted to the Civil War. My Mom's husband is a bit of a history buff, and his enjoyment of the Civil War has prompted me to buy him one of these every year for the past 10 or so odd years. Last year there wasn't one which was such a bummer, but I did find a similar one which was wonderful, just not "This Day in History" wonderful.He really enjoys reading the entire script from every single day, so I get him the desktop addition so he can sit in his office and take the time to actually absorb what he is reading.I am always trying to find new things to get him for the Holidays that would interest him, but these are by far his favorite to have. It's nice that the pages are recyclable so once he reads one he can just toss it in the recycle bin, or sometimes he will even pin one up if he really enjoys it.As far as accuracy and quality, you cannot beat the History Channel themed items. They are thorough and also not the same every year. I imagine it's hard to find new things to add to something that no longer has things to add to it, but they make sure to make every year different which is really appealing. Great gift for yourself of any History buff you may know. Definitely 5/5 stars.

Great idea, interesting facts. Problem is that it goes from Nov 29 to Dec 19. Picks up with Nov 30 after Dec 31 and several blank pages. Seems like they missed the mark on the main point of having a calendar.

I'll put this out as a lobby calendar. The Customers will love it. Last year, I put the "Dog Shaming" calendar out last year and sold a few for Amazon by Customers ordering it on the net, the Customers loved it. I feel good about "This Day In History" also..

What a great calendar!!!I'm a HUGE History buff so it'll be fun learning something new every day.My one issue is I wish there were pictures to go along with each day...even if they were small. It's just a little too bland just having history facts, though I love them, just wish there was more color to the calendar

Bought as a gift for my dad, who's quite interested in the snippets of information it offers each day. He did say it was very America-orientated, although I think from the History channel that's to be expected.

What a con. Bought this for somebody with dementia, didn't realise it was for 2019. What the hell was the point in selling this in December 2019. Fuming.

I haven't really been using this, but I have noticed it says on the 8th May it is Mother's Day. In England it is'nt Mother's Day on the 8th May 2016.
