Q: Most reviewers pair this with the Jackery 500. If I get the smaller 240, is there any advantage in this 100 watt panel rather than the 50?

I have a Saga 100 and an Explorer 240 -- just got them a week ago. We've having a moderately sunny day in NW Florida and I was able to do a 100 percent charge in seven hours. Best numbers I saw on input power were 60 watts but it got the job done in real-world conditions. That said, I have found the Saga to be a bit of a pain as its 8 mm cable doesn't work with other vendors' 8mm cables, as it appears that the center conductor is just a mite short, which translates to "you can't use the 30 foot extension cables from third parties" and "you can't use the Y-cables from third parties to gang together a bunch of solar panels in cloudy weather." If I had it to do again, I'd get another vendor's 18v 100 watt panel.

Q: How well does it charge in cloudy weather?

I live in Florida and on a cloudy day I get between 7 watts an hour and 20 watts an hour depending on how cloudy it is and what time of day it is. In contrast, on a fully sunny day I'm getting between 30-60 watts an hour. I have not seen higher than 60 watts an hour despite moving the panel around for optimal collection. The company rep I reached out to said that's about as good as it gets for this panel.

In my experience the answer is YES! I have an Explorer 1500 that I use to poser my home fridge/freezer during power outages. The battery pack generally lasts for about 7 to 8ish hours. One time this year power went out at 2:15 am. I plugged in the fridge. By the time the Sun came up the battery pack was down to 20%. I setup four of the Saga 100watt panels plugged into the E1500. By about 1:30 pm the power cam back on in the house. The battery pack read 24% ... so yes.
