Love the SC400D!!! Just works
I've been using this for 5 months now and it's been fantastic. This review is for the SC400D (I don't know why Amazon is grouping all the Cobra cameras together in the same review pool when all these cameras are so different). So it has the front camera at 4K and rear camera at 1080p. It's just a set it and forget it system. When you turn on the car, it powers up. When you start driving, it starts to record. If you just sit idle with the car running, it'll turn off and then when you start driving, it turns back on and starts recording. When the memory card runs out of space the first time, it'll ask you to format the card and then it'll be able to record continuously without intervention ((loop recording)when it runs out of space, it'll erase the oldest videos so you can keep recording). The way I have it set up, when I'm driving, 3/4 of the screen is for the front camera and 1/4 is for the rear camera. The 1/4 is small so it's not ideal but you could technically use this view to see things when reversing your car. It would be awesome if it would flip the cameras when backing up (e.g., have 3/4 of screen be the rear camera when reversing) but it doesn't.It's very easy to attach and detach because while the mount is almost permanently attached to the windshield with super sticky tape, the camera is attached to the mount by magnets. so if you want to prevent someone from breaking into the car and stealing the camera, you could. The video quality is terrific. It really does look good and the camera comes with a circular polarizer so that you can adjust it so that it cuts down glare and makes the image more vivid. Nighttime, the quality is great for the environment but because the camera exposes for the entire environment, it tends to overexpose the license plates which are white so I guess they decided it's more important to capture the accident than it is to capture the license plate. For things I didn't test... I don't use Alexa so nothing for that. It has a parking mode where it's always recording but it requires that the camera is connected to constant power (which I'm too lazy to have that kind of installation; I just have it connected to a spare cigarette lighter port) or a cigarette lighter that can provide constant power (mine can't; when I turn off the car, it cuts power to the port). I don't use the Drive app because I use a combination of Google Maps and Garmin DriveSmart 86 (which uses Google Maps data and traffic). I don't use Waze because I find it is way too crazy with false alarms (especially with trafffic and cop locations) and has more wrong directions.I ended up getting the SC 400D kit for my other car too because it does work really well. However, it is friggin expensive and I think it should be cheaper because there are cheaper units out there that aren't that much worse.

A great camera that can connect with your phone
This camera is a replacement of a old camera of a different brand. I really like that you can see the symbols on the screen to let you know what the buttons are for. It's easy to set up with your phone and you can change the settings on the camera or on your phone. Both came with a adhesive stick on mount which I don't know how long that would last. I used the stick on mount for the rear camera and I bought a mount for my rear view mirror that can swivel. My old camera had a suction mount that would fall off about every month and the camera thought it was in a crash and stop recording. This camera has a separate file for events like this. I also like that you can remove the camera easily because of the magnetic connection for the mount. My wife hit it with her hand the other day reaching for something on the dash and it did not fall, all I had to do was readjust the camera mount that is on a swivel mount. I have not used the talk to camera option yet, but I don't use that option on my phone either. The camera quality is great and it has a little weight to it. The night vision is very good even on the rear camera and I have a tinted rear window. The picture quality is also great.I liked this camera enough that I bought one for my truck.I downloaded the IRadar app that works with the camera but I found out that it has a subscription that I don't really need. I guess if I traveled alot it may be worth it.

Started out ok, Got worse later, and worse still
The media could not be loaded. I've had this in my car for a little over 1.5years. I wish I would have noticed the only option for power is the cigarette lighter. No other options available with this set. After about 1 year and 3 months, the nut and bolt that holds the camera in the mount fell out and has yet to be found (my car is clean, still no idea where they went!). The pressure of the mount holds it well enough so long as I dont crash it seems to hold just fine. However...Recently the camera decided it doesn't know whether to record or not. It is in full freak-out mode and keeps flickering back and forth rapidly between record and stop. I got so fed up with hearing it I just unplugged it. Now its just sitting there, and my car is back to not having a recording device, and I spent almost $200 for this paperweight... Not pleased...Would definitely recommend having one, maybe just make sure to get the extended warranty since nowadays nobody expects their products to last more than just outside the warranty...**Update**It now decided to flip the sound recording off and on rapidly, and the stop start button no longer works at all...I thought maybe it was a battery issue, so I turned it off and left it plugged in over night, didn't change anything. Thought maybe it was the SD card being full, deleted it all, still didn't change anything. Thought it might be the cord being pulled too tight, readjusted tension AND placement from side plug in to top plug in, no change...Idk what could possibly be going on other than manufacturing glitch.I'm not sure how a dash cam life span is supposed to only be between 1 and 2 years, but that's asinine! I hate cheap crap I spend my hard earned money on, just to replace the dang thing a year or 2 later!

Great product.. BUT
Good product. Only complaint is that it will just shutoff while driving. Once I had to unplug it and plug it back in to turn it on because pressing the power button didn't work. I would still recommend it. It does the job.
