Perfect for my mailbox post!
I installed this on my 6x6 wood mailbox post. Our neighborhood requires a standard design with a wooden post and it was starting to get a bit chewed up from trimming around it. This was the perfect solution. It was easy to install and is working great.

Perfect protector for our new fence!
The lawncare service damaged our new fence. This provides the protection needed.

Just follow the instructions on the video.
I had a brand new outdoor deck built for me last year. It wasn’t inexpensive. This year I noticed that my line trimmer had to be handled very carefully around the nice, new deck posts to avoid marking and hacking them up. I came in from outside and went straight to Amazon and did a search. These are perfect. I installed them myself. I used a grip-type carpenter clamp to secure them befor fastening to the post but otherwise followed the installation instruction video -working left to right. I also used pilot holes, as I personally prefer on all my projects. I used the included screws. They look neat and now my weed trimming time is cut in half because I don’t have to be so careful. I’m glad I found these shields. I would recommend.

Sturdy protection
I did not do the install on this. I had a handy person do it, and his comments were that it was very sturdy and likely to last awhile. I live in a development where they provide lawn service via the HOA. Will be interesting to see how it does in spring.

Easy to install
Very easy to install. Took all of maybe 5 minutes. And it looks so much better than the chewed up base of the post that was exposed before. Hoping it holds up for several years - at least until it's time to repair and repaint the mailbox post next time.

Attached them to my wooden swingset
These worked out great for our swingset posts, which were getting beat up from the weed whacker. Even at an angle, they installed pretty easily and are holding up well. Definitely look at the company's website for installation instructions (they have a helpful video) because otherwise it's easy to mess it up.
