My son has really enjoyed his snap ships - they remind me of Zoids a toy from the 80/90s - relatively easy to put together, very customizable, and lots of accessories. We haven’t tried the accompanying board game yet but it is on our list.

Snap Ships have been my son's favorite for years. We just wish they had more designs! Great quality, easy to build, fun to display.

These are still the best toys around for people of all ages. Fun to build with the kids, easy to work with, and very expandable. So much fun with these and we keep buying them... We have a problem...We now buy them for birthday parties for neighbors and kids' friends because they are a killer deal and loved by anyone that opens them. You immediately see their potential and the product is solid.I wish they would continue to come out with even more, but I know there is focus on the board game aspect. These are still great and amazing.

For some reason these toys are insanely discounted from the MSRP right now, so I grabbed one, and I have to say, $10 is an insane price for this, you are getting a lot of toy for not a lot of money.I got a couple of these because they kind of reminded me of some of the toys of my childhood, like War Planets or the amusingly named Bone Age. Maybe a bit of Construx or Xpanders as well. The nostalgic vibe is aided by a simple "good guys vs bad guys" story on the back of the box, and a flyer inside that has a product catalog on one side and a poster of all the toys fighting on the other.For your potentially miniscule investment of money you essentially get several bags of cubes that can be... well they don't really "snap" together, the plastic is too soft. They maybe... skudge together? Skudge ships. Don't get me wrong, the pieces do fit together well and the connections are durable. You can also attach various weapons, vents, engines etc. to said cubes, to make various kinds of space-ships or mechs. This particular set only has instructions for one build, the "Claymore". The build is sturdy, and the ship holds together really well if you pick it up in a reasonable way, and frankly even some unreasonable ways, like holding it by the cockpit.The claymore is a troop carrier, and has a fair few play features. It comes with three pilot figures and can carry two small mechs, both of which can be dropped out of the ship with little levers. There are bay doors to access the mechs from above and the entire front of the ship can open up into a repair bay, complete with a little crane arm to carry damaged mechs or attach the numerous different extra arms that are included.I also appreciated something that can sometimes be overlooked with spaceships, which are the landing struts, which allow the ship to stay level if you're displaying it on a shelf or if your child is landing it on the living room floor.As was the case with the other set I bought there are a couple little niggling details that prevent it from getting the full five stars. First, I think they could have done better with the crew. You get two humans and some kind of rock alien guy. The humans are sculpted with very little detail, relying on paint for detail; they don't really have sculpted faces, just a blob of skin tone paint and a blob of paint for hair. I know they are under an inch, but I am comparing them to other figures of similar size, like Mighty Max or War Planets. The rock guy has a nicer sculpt, and it's fun that they give us an alien for variety, but unfortunately he doesn't fit very well into the cockpits. I can't get him into the mech with the enclosed cockpit at all, and although product photos show him in the spaceship cockpit, you have to have him in a really specific pose and position to get the canopy closed, and even then it doesn't quite close fully. He does fit into the mech with the open cockpit.The other awkward bit is that the ship is so big that it doesn't quite fit the included stand. You have to remove one of the landing struts and add an extra block (Which is included) and then put the thing on diagonally. And because of the way it attaches to the stand, you can't display it with the repair bay opened.Still, these are small details in what is otherwise a pretty dang nifty toy. Especially at the clearance price I got it at.

I bought this Snap ship for my friends 11 year old son for Christmas he loved it so much he's been collecting different snap ships it's great for kids to build learn and use their mechanical skills and building skills keeps them busy and entertained and they play with it. It's a quality product with a really affordable price. Will be looking for other ones to buy for him for his birthday.

My son has been collecting snap ships for a couple years now. He loves building them and plays with them often! They go together pretty easily and hold together well. Great quality at a reasonable price point!

My kids love these. We have most of the sets and they have a blast mixing and matching to come up with their own creations. Of course daddy has to get in the battle now and again. I'd also recommend the Snap Ships board game where you use your build to battle.
