Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product had good reviews and I have had terrible luck with grass seed in my background. There is a lot of shade throughout the day and sun after 4 pm. I have tried for several years to seed with not luck. The past seed said it was shade grass seed but it never got strong enough to last the next year. I have great hopes for this dense grass seed. It’s growing strong and thick and looks great. We will see. I will update.

I’ve seen reviews where not one seed germinated from the entire bag, so I was somewhat hesitant to buy this seed. Plus I had put down Scott’s fertilizer with Halts. My bare patches under my Red maple have been bare for at least 10 yrs. I put down soil from Home Depot to separate the seed from the halts, used starter fertilizer from a hand spreader and threw straw on top. Watered the grass, was planning to water every other day, but it rained. Saved me dragging the hose out. I think it said I’d get grass in 2-3 weeks. I’ve got grass after 8 days. Thanks

Great seed for the price, thickness is and color is perfect

Bought for shaded area 20x30 area. Tilled up the soil and removed all the previous weeds/grass/thatch. Spread with a 12 setting I think it called for for a new lawn. Used an entire 3lb bag bc I wanted a thicc carpet. Lightly raked in the seed and watered daily for about 3 days which was followed by a week of rain. Only about 30% of the area seeded grew grass so far . So we'll see if any more pops up, but for the price I wouldn't buy again. Will by another brand and seed over top

Sorry to say none of the seed germinated. half was used in a partially shaded area to fill in bare spots and the other half was used on new planting soil in a mostly shaded area; not a single seed germinated in either area. I've purchased other branded grass seed through Amazon with no issues... and yes if was watered faithfully. Sorry, I feel I was taken.

THIS STUFF GROWS LIKE A WILDFIRE, IN MY HEAVY SHADED AREA, LUV THIS GRASS SEED IM GETTING MORE OF THIS SEED

Grass in growing in pretty extreme shade. One hour of direct sun, and the rest of the day VERY mottled.
