McCormick Culinary Southwest Seasoning, 18 oz - One 18 Ounce Container of Southwest Spice Blend with Authentic Smoky Heat, Perfect for Tex-Mex Recipes for Bold Flavor

I bought this item in hopes it would be similar to the marinade that they discontinued awhile back. In that area, I was disappointed. This was not spicy, just flavorful. It is low sodium, so it needed a touch of salt. I would recommend adding a jalapeño for the same level of spicy the old marinade had, to the level of spicy you prefer. This went well with my veggies and “chicken” (Daring Chicken in this picture). Would work on regular meat as well, just as good. Creates a nice crispy seasoned skin. The actual seasoning in the container is very packed, so it is somewhat difficult getting the seasoning out initially without making a mess. 50/50 chance I would buy again.

I took a shot and ordered this bid 18oz bottle of southwest seasoning as it's made by McCormick and my family uses their brand of seasonings daily.This seasoning is great to flavor up cooked ground beef for tacos, burritos, etc. It's also quite good just sprinkled on fries, cooked veggies, eggs, garden salads, etc. Go wild and try it on what ever you like. You won't be disappointed!It's not Hot spicy either so don't worry about that. No fear of burning you mouth with this stuff. It's just a nice blend of spices that go well with Mexican style dishes and the like.

I cook a lot, especially rice and tacos and this product has the most amazing bold flavors. I will definitely be buying more.

this is a step up from the McCormick Dark Chili Powder. More depth of flavor, can actually taste chilies. Not HOT spicy, but just a touch of heat. This is my go to for seasoning tacos, burritos, chili, enchiladas and more. add a teaspoon to top ramen and you'll be amazed at how good it is.
