This clock is exactly what I wanted. I use it to keep track of how long a meeting lasts in my office. I can see the clock on the wall behind the person I am meeting with, but they can't see it and I don't have to check my phone or watch to know when to wrap up the meeting. For this reason the large format of the clock and numbers is essential. Note that the clock has a ticking sound with the second hand. I usually hear it when I first come to my office, but then I don't notice it (I habituate). That said, if you are sensitive to ticking sounds or would use this is an area where you sleep I would not recommend it (that said, I do sleep in my office at times, and I still don't notice the ticking sound ). Last, I hung it with 3M strips for 10lb weight and can take it on and off to change the batter, or reset it for time changes. It is a beautiful classic clock, well worth the price.
