Don't settle for an ordinary hair dryer. You'll see the difference!I have long, fine, thick hair, and used to love my hair.I had a Panasonic negative ion hair dryer that lasted over ten years, then it sadly died.I didn't want to spend too much on a new one, so I got an ordinary Conair one. It was awful.That one died after a little over a year, so I got an infrared Revlon dryer. My hair was still awful. My straight hair became wavy and dry, and it felt like straw!I thought of a few possibilities...After having children I started showering at night, so maybe it was because if that. Or maybe stress or my age.I tried so many shampoos and conditioners. Nothing made a difference, and I hated wasting money on stuff that wasn't even helping, so I gave up. But it got depressing when I'd look in the mirror and didn't see that healthy, shiny hair I once had.Then I thought it could be because of my hair dryer!I didn't want to buy another one until mine died, so I waited... Then a year and a half later it finally did! I was so happy and knew I had to get another Panasonic!I didn't have a Nanoe one before, but it's supposed to be better than negative ion, so I chose this, and got the compact one, because the bigger one was out of our budget. ($59 vs $84)I saw a difference after my first use! My hair didn't tangle and really did dry faster, and I was excited to see how my hair would be in the morning! It was so soft and I finally have my healthy hair back! I'm still using ordinary shampoo and conditioner, so it was all because of the dryer!I'm happy I chose this one over the bigger one, because it fits in my hand well and it's light weight. It's really quiet too, which is a plus when you have kids sleeping down the hall!I use it on my daughters too, and they have very long hair since I've never cut it. I can dry both of them in 3 minutes!As some people have mentioned, it did have a strange smell the first time I used it, but it was just that one time.I hope this one lasts a long time, but when its time comes, there's no way I'll get anything other than a Panasonic! It feels so nice to touch my soft hair with no tangles!Update 9/2/2021:It has been over 2 years since I got this, so it's time for an update!It still works as good as new and I love this hair dryer!!Time for another update! 5/14/2023:I still love this hair dryer! My daughters and I use it every single day and have had absolutely no issues with it. I'm so glad I got Panasonic.Another awesome thing is that I've never had to clean it. Other dryers get dust and lint stuck on the back behind the fan, but for some reason this dryer is always clean!

I got this for my daughter who has long hair and would complain about how the head from her dryer would damager her hair and also make it frizzy. We were just waiting for it to finally die so we could get one of these. I've known about the Nano-e hair dryers from my business trips to Japan where they seem to be in every hotel room. My hair isn't loooong, but I still liked the results when I used it, so I wanted to get one for my daughter.Size-wise, I wouldn't say it is compact. It is smaller than the normal size Nano-e hair dryers, but it isn't like a travel-size hair dryer and not stubby like the Dyson. Since my daughter is petite, the size works well for her. I thought she would hate the color combination (pink/black), but she was fine with it. I myself would have preferred a different combination of colors.She has been using it for about 3 weeks now and she loves it. She says it dries much quicker than her old 1820 watt hair dryer without getting as hot. She especially likes that it doesn't make her hair all frizzy and because it either doesn't take as long or because it doesn't use as much heat, that her hair isn't damages and dry anymore. I can say that feeling her hair is much better. I think it is the combination of the amount of air it blows, the ionized particles and the heat level make it work so well.So, I asked her if she would bring this on our vacations or just use a regular hotel hair dryer. Without hesitation she said, "of course I'll bring it." That's how much she like it. She rates this a 5 star.

The hair dryer is great. I was all about to give it a 5 star review.But then I tried to register the product for warranty. It asks for a serial number (mandatory field), takes you to a page to find serial numbers but the product wasn't listed. I tried the number on the box and it says duplicate registration. I tried the number on the hairdryer, and again duplicate registration. Almost suspected this product was used, marketed as new.Then I finally found a 2021 response by panasonic to a different model on amazon saying this product does not have a serial number. I wish panasonic could've just put that on their site like they do for their irons. I had to login 6 times (page expired when i took a picture of my proof of purchase - get this ready ahead of time, bugged out when i tried to register it one time, serial no. issues...)

Love this product

This dryer is quieter than competitors.First I felt less air.But if you use at 5 inches more distance you will get lots of air.There is no switch for "nanoe" so you can't compare the effectiveness for "nanoe"

This hair dryer is worth every penny of it. My hair is always dry and coarse. I traveled to an Asian Country recently and used a Panasonic older model hair dryer in a hotel. It uses the same technology as this newer model. After use, I felt my hair was so soft without having to apply extra leave in conditioner. It actually dries hair a lot faster. I am very happy with the newer model, it gives the same result as the one in the hotel. That tells me the hair dryer stays functional even after several years of use.

I highly recommend this hair dyer. It is very lightweight and very quick to dry my hair. Best of all, my hair is so sleek and shine after blowing. Love it!
