This 6" L x 5" W x 9.2" H, stainless steel grater has four different grating sides with a silicone handle and ring around the bottom. It is well-made and easy to grip while shredding/slicing cheese, fruits, vegetables, and spices. You will find yourself reaching for this grater more often than not. Your old grater doesn’t stand a chance when compared to this new one. I don’t know why I waited so long to replace my old, worn-out grater.I prefer the larger size. In all honesty, it’s not that much larger than the one I replaced. This one has a well-designed handle and the silicone ring around the base helps to keep the grater in one place while utilizing it. There are four different options to use: 1) slicer, 2) fine shred/zest, 3) medium shred, and 4) coarse shred. Each side has its own individual uses. Don’t limit your imagination either! This grater is convenient with more than just cheese!Super easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. I do tend to place my grater upside down in the dish drying rack so that water doesn’t get stuck in the bottom.I genuinely love this grater. I was tired of buying shredded cheese at twice the cost. I can easily shred potatoes for potato pancakes or use the slicer for fried potatoes. I can grate nutmeg, zest citrus, or simply shred various types of cheeses with this grater. I think it’s great and an essential tool for every kitchen. I highly recommend it.

Sturdy, sharp, large and comfortable in hand... For a long time I've bought bags of shredded cheese to avoid the tedium of shredding it myself. Pre shredded isn't without issues and I decided buying blocks of cheese and shredding what I need as I need it produces a better quality end product. The block cheese shredded, melts better. Supposedly the bag stuff has corn starch (?) added to keep it from sticking together in the bag.Can't explain the science but it prompted me to getting this box grater and putting in the extra time like mom used to do. I've not yet been disappointed with this purchase but I've not really use any feature except the standard cheese grater side of the box. The slicer is sharp, I expect it works well but I've not officially tested it.For some , the size of this kitchen implement might be off putting. It is a large box grater so if your kitchen forces you to space save at every turn I could see where this might be a little off putting. Did I mention it's a large box grater? That said, the size does provide a nice stable base for when you're really putting in the work.It comes with a little plastic measuring cup that snaps on the bottom. It wasn't a selling point for me but it could definitely be handy for some user trying to maintain portion control maybe but I feel like a good scale probably does that job more accurately.The build quality seems really good on this device. Time will tell.

Just received this wonderful box grater. It replaces a 50-year old grater that is now retired from active kitchen duty. This Spring Chef grater is large and weighty but the slip resistant base is a game-changer. It saves me so much time and effort grating vegetables for homemade dog food. Makes short work of zesting citrus and grates cheese easily. Cucumbers and zucchini slice beautifully and quickly. The clean up is easy, especially for cheese. WOW - I am so impressed and happy with this purchase. Hope it lasts as long as my retired grater. Highly recommend.
