Such a cute book. Gave as a baby shower gift

When I read this book, I cried. :) I had bought it for our son and daughter-in-law's very first baby. Our miracle baby. So, this story just meant so much. When I gave it to them at the baby shower, I had them read it, and they both cried. And it sends a good message to the child that he/she is well loved and of importance. I recommend.

We loved this book for our little one. A sweet read, and a nice gift.

Nice gift for religious family

白熊の女の子が夜、ベッドに入るけれど眠くないので、ママに「自分はどこから来たの」と聞く。そこからお話が始まります。白熊ママは、「神様がお前を私たちにくださったの」（God gave us you.)と説明します。以下、生物学的な話は一切なしで、小熊の質問と、敬虔なクリスチャンぐま（？）であるママの説明とが続きます。 小熊は、「ちがうベビーが生まれてきたらよかったのに、と思ったことはある？」と聞きます。あざらしとか狐とか。ママは、"Never, ever, ever." と答えます。ママもパパも、世界丸ごとと比べてもお前が大事、お前が世界一と考えているのだと。その理由は、「神様がお前をくださったのだもの。」 最初の数ページ、熊の絵が今ひとつ熊っぽい雄雄しさにかける、リアルでもないしユーモラスでもない、洋服着てたりして変、など細かい点が気になったのですが（イラスト担当者はイヌを飼っている女性ではないかと邪推します・・・狐もあざらしもイヌ似です）、話のすじに引き込まれて、最後の方はうるうると感動の海に沈んでしまいました。 リズミカルな英語で、音読に適していると思います。とくに、一つ一つのやりとりの最後が、"Why?" と "God gave us you." で締めくくられているのは、調子がいいです。単語・文法ともに難しくないので、中学生でも十分読めると思います。 白熊の話だけに、寒い地方、寒いシーズンを連想させます。イラストも寒色系のトーンです。クリスマスに友達にプレゼントしようと買いましたが、その意味では「あたり」だと思いました。

Ottimo libro molto solido, indicato per bambini anche molto piccoli come il mio di 14 mesi. Storia bella e molto tenera. Molto belle anche le illustrazioni.

Das Buch, vor allem die Geschichte ist der hammer!! Leider musste ich es zurück schicken, weil es echt gebraucht und abgerieben aussah. Der Ersatz war zwar besser, aber trotzdem nicht tadellos. Habe es aber trotzdem behalten, weil es einfach so schön prägnant zusammenfasst, was Eltern mit ihrem Nachwuchs empfinden. Würde ich jedem weiterempfehlen!!
