DIY Magnets - Strong Round Base Neodymium - Pot Magnets - Bulk Pack of 4-70+ LB Strength - Countersunk Hole with Mounting Screws

Bought them a while ago but only just got around to using them and felt I should post a review now. They're not cheap but they're a fair price for good quality cup or pot magnets that can be screwed down like this (short 0.8" screws are supplied). They're exactly what I need for the project I'm doing. They shipped fast, the communication from the seller is excellent.Important - They're packaged with plastic disks between each one and that's for a good reason... These really are strong magnets and it definitely takes some effort to get them apart again once they've stuck together! As tempting as it is to see just how powerful they are, you might want to keep them separated. However I'm guessing you won't be able to resist ...I wouldn't bother trying to pull or lever them apart - you may damage the tool/s, the magnets, yourself, or all of the above. The best way is to push them sideways so they slide apart. You can try pushing one to the left and the other to the right with your thumbs, but you'll get more leverage if you rest and hold the edge of one magnet firmly on the very edge of a sturdy, non magnetic surface like a wooden workbench and push the edge of the other magnet downwards so it slides off. Have something padded on the floor just in case because this type of neodymium magnet might crack or shatter if it lands badly on a hard surface.Oh, and if you're planning to attach them to a wall or ceiling make sure your screws reach well into the studs or rafters/beams, and get longer screws - the ones that are supplied are only 0.8" long.

Bought these magnets to hold some solar lights on the sides of Moby Dick, The Great White Camping Van... These magnets are STRONG!!! We're talking bending light, throwing off the earth's magnetic field and altering the space time continuum strong!!! I thought it would take two but one of these babies will EASILY hold the light. Might not get it off the van again but I'll know where to find it! Seriously.. well made and strong magnets that, if you REALLY need something to stay in place, are the ticket!! I tried some magnetic tape on my lights and it was worthless. These babies did the trick. Comes with recessed Stainless Steel wood screws which I replaced with similar machine screws to mount onto the lights. You WANT to use SS as it is not affected by magnets. If you use a cheap ferrous screw you probably won't be able get it away from the magnet again. You have been warned.. As I now had spare magnets I used them on the inside of a cabinet to hold a large chef knife and a camp hatchet in place. So far no moving when bumping down the road. VERY impressed. Sadly, I still can't say "Neodymium"...

Very impressive pulling power. After 3 years in the open, a plate (where the head of the screw goes in) swelled and fell apart on one, and muddy stuff, the rare earth, fell out. Only one star off for that, because of the exposure.

I haven't bought any with the casing around them until now but I wish I had. The last bunch of magnets I got (from a different seller) broke on me way too easily. If you are going to actually install these magnets with a screw then this is the kind you want. The case really does direct the magnetic field quite a bit. You can lay two of them back to back and push them together easily but face to face is way too hard.I've shopped around on Amazon for these, and they're a little pricier but I think it's worth it.

Just wow! These are excellent magnets - I used them to hold a large HVAC return vent firmly against the wall which hides my now easy to get to gun safe. As far as anyone can tell it's a return vent for the system, but I can pull it off, grab my 1911 and be ready to repel intruders in seconds. No worry about anyone finding it. Had to recess the magnets a bit, but a 1 1/4" Forester bit made that a snap. These magnets are excellent!

These are nifty enough products. The countersunk holes for the screws are nice. Let there be no illusions about the weight they can hold, though; only in the most favorable of conditions (and shape/dimensions of what you are attempting to mount) can these hold anywhere near 70 lbs. I use them to hold/display various knives that I've collected over the years, and they work fine for that.

Good, strong magnets. They keep my chain box doors on my truck closed even while driving down the highway, and you have to put some muscle into them in order to open them with just one magnet. I would definitely recommend these magnets, but you will have to mount them with the screw. The case side of the magnet does not attract, I guess it blocks the magnetic field. So just a warning this is basically a one sided magnet.

Super strong magnets, and I was very happy with them for their size. Only issue is that it does not include the mounting screw shown in the photos. Not difficult, but I had to find my own wood screws with a flared head to use with them.
