but am extremely disappointed with the quality
I was excited for this because my son wants to be a paleontologist, but am extremely disappointed with the quality. First, our package was missing the chisel tool. Then, my son unearthed two skull heads and was confused with why he had two heads and we had an extra arm. The pieces do not fit easily together. I started twisting the pieces which got them deeper into the grooves but then the tail broke. Overall, my son still liked it because it allowed him to excavate for dino bones on his own, but I would not recommend.

Purchased for 4 and 5 year old boys. I believe the box said 8 and up. The dino pieces require assembly and if you're not careful some pieces can break.

kids fossil toy
I thought it was going to be more of a sand type of dig. I thought the bones were going to be “in the sand” for the kids to dig. It turns out the fossils are in cased in clay but it still did the job so we were happy.
