Used this with the handheld smoking gun and used it on a wonderful whiskey cheddar and it was a hit with everyone! Can't wait to try it on more things. Perfect sized chips for the handheld device. Lots of chips too... plenty to share with others! Much more economical that the little tiny jars of chips you can get with the device. Update: GREAT to smoke Gouda cheese! YUM! Huge hit with the crowd.

This is my FAVORITE Camerons' wood chip product thus far - superb rich flavor on this one for just about any kind of meat. This is NOT a tub of sawdust as some critics state, I seriously believe the younger generation just isn't reading about what they're ordering and they're expecting a gallon tub of outdoor wood chips for outdoor smokers to be delivered - can't imagine any other reason to leave a negative review for any of Camerons' smoker chips. These are specifically designed for stove top indoor smokers and this is a one pint tub, if you understand that, then you will be okay with buying this. The wood chips aren't "sawdust" as critics claim, they're small slivers of wood more akin to a bunch of broken toothpicks, but clearly they are splintered and seasoned wood and nothing else. They have to be that small to fit in the stove top smokers, and they work perfectly for that purpose. ALL of Camerons' flavors are good, but this one, I think, is the richest we've tried thus far and I will be buying more. Gave the meat a seriously rich flavor that rivaled anything you could've gotten by smoking outdoors on a full-size smoker. 100% recommend these if you've got a stove top smoker and you realize what size a pint is!

my only complaint is that the particles are really fine and sometimes when I'm smoking a drink, burning embers escape and land where I likely don't want fire, even small bits of fire :P I love the smell, I love the value. Cost per smoked drink is very low, this will last me a good long while so I'm super pleased. If they were a little more course I'd be 5 stars all day long, and since I've noticed it more than once I can't go the full 5 stars but if you don't care, this is the best stuff out there that I've tried.

We used to be able to buy these as small wood chips. They worked really well. Lately, they’ve been coming as very fine wood slivers and dust. It clogs our smoker very quickly.

These chips are very finely cut, and perfect for a smoking gun or similar. I've also used a pinch of them in my regular smoker to get the smoke going quickly before the larger chips in the cold smoke feeder get going. A nice, strong bourbon smell, too.

There is not enough in the package to do anything. It's a ripoff.

Sorry but I paid Rs695 for a tiny container of sawdust. Nowhere on the product itself does it say the qty of the container. This dos not look like a pint (whatever a pint is). The picture on the label is not representative of what is inside the container.
