Bought the crossword book for my mother. She enjoys the challenge and passing the time. She commented the puzzles were challenging and worked them with my father and myself.

Great gift for a dad, interesting topics

One thing in the puzzle that is worthless, they keep saying a US city and its comparable in a foreign country, terrible.

its tough but fun

The cover implies American history, but this is chock-full of airport codes and sister cities comprised of US cities with cities all over the world. I found the clues where I filled in the spelling of place names and people okay, but I have no interest in sports and never have, so I have to cheat on those "clues" but this has to be the worst of all the crossword books I've bought (probably a hundred by now).

I like this book because the puzzles are relatively quick to solve. However, I was hoping they pertained more to US history. I guess many people would like the frequent clues of airport codes and names of sister cities in every puzzle, but not really for me. Other than that, I enjoy working them.

The puzzles and clues just keep repeating themselves. As another reviewer noted many of the answers are simply complete the spelling. Additionally, it focus on sister cities is both boring and uneeded. I felt like the puzzles were all created by a computer program which would explain the constant repatition.

The shortened words made solving puzzles a little difficult.
