Is this now the 2021 reprint?

No, this was printed in 2017. It looks exactly like the picture here on Amazon except the box has different art. There is an expansion for this game due out in 2021, but my research doesn't show it to be out yet, and the review I read says that it'll be an expansion not a complete game.

Where can I buy the 2018 second edition? This looks like the 2017 first edition.

Can it be played solo?

There is nothing in the rules for a solo variant that come with the game. However, you can check on Board Game Geek and see if there are any unofficial variants in the user forum thread.
