This is an important speaker because it has a rare design that matches exactly what I need. Let me explain. Unlike other small speakers that I plug or bluetooth into my mac, this one truly has a separate volume control and amplifier. All other small speakers I've tried, whether wired or bluetooth, if you use the volume control on the device, that simply changes the volume setting on my computer. So they have a fixed volume and use the computer to change what I hear. But with this one, if I turn its volume up or down using the volume nob on the unit, the volume on the computer does not change but the unit does. This is really important because I often have the volume on my computer set all the way to full volume. And then I get a person on a Youtube video (or Zoom participant) who is talking too low in volume, even for my computer. On most speakers I am stuck. There is no way to go higher. But with this speaker, I can still crank the volume up a LOT. This is really, really, important. I do a lot of Zoom calls with the participants who are hard to hear so I am glad I can turn this up beyond computer max. And in general, I like being able to control the speaker separate from the computer vol control. The sound quality is excellent btw. Surprisingly great sound for the price. Just the right amount of restrained bass, not too boomy, like most external speakers. Note, this next point is critical. You need to be aware of what you are buying and how you plug it in. I bought the less expensive one, the one that comes with a hard-wired headphone jack wire to provide the sound input (plugs into your computer headphone jack) and also comes with a separate hardwired USB wire to provide power (plugs into any powered USB-A source). So with this model, you must use that headphone wire to get sound, which is exactly what I wanted (I have a desktop mac). So no bluetooth and no USB A sound input. Rather, the accompanying USB A cord on this unit is for power and power only, not for sound. So you'll need to plug it in too. Again, you will have to plug both the headphone jack and the USB cord in. Keep that in mind. That worked perfect for my needs but your needs may vary.

We have purchased about 10 of these speakers for our clients and for ourselves. 1) Easy to connect with a 3.5 MM plug and a USB 2) Volume control knob on the top to make it easy to adjust sound on the fly 3) Reasonable sound and speaker quality - great for ZOOM calls, listening to music, or your favorite podcast.

Hate they put both on a single page combining reviews for 2 models. Bought both for work purposes with Teams/Zoom meetings being the primary usage. Sound quality on both appear to be the same and are great for the cost. Version with USB power only (5 star) - Sound is great for cost. Speaker is powered by a laptop hub so it powers on/off with the computer. No issues after a half year of use. Version with USB power & USB audio (3 stars) - Again the sound is great but some issues with use. The speaker appears as a USB storage drive when USB is connected to the computer. My work computer has some restrictions so this causes warnings about unauthorized devices while the USB is connected. Ok, so I plugged USB to a wall outlet and used an audio cable to connect to the computer instead. Now the speaker is powered but only outputs audio about 50% of the time. Turn it on/off, switch LED on/off, switch audio cable between the speaker input & microphone input... One or a combination of these actions might get the speaker to work.

This works well with my computer, it's loud and clear, very good quality. Good value for the money and looks cool

I wasn’t sure what to think after reading some reviews on here, this is a lot of features for a pretty low price. I think the sound quality is fantastic for what it is, I play classical music through it while reading and really enjoy it. I happen to like the light up, but I use it in a game room that has similar LED lighting that it goes well with. I’ll see how the longevity is but for the price, zero complaints.

It worked ok, there was alot of static in the speakers at times - needed it for zoom meetings but the quality was lacking other solutions. When playing music as well - noticed the quality wasn’t as well as I’d expect. It was easy to setup and easy to use plug and play, but not great quality.

the audio is pretty nice if you're just looking to have more sound. size is great, fits under my monitor perfectly. looks great and sound is clear. My monitor was my only sound output and im using a ps5. plugged the hdmi into ps5 and audio jack into controller. Awesome
