Very Sturdy and High Quality so Far
This thing is definitely built well in comparison to the other one I briefly had

Great for the price
Much sturdier than I expected, holds the tempest mic without issue. The only complaint is that the post that inserts into the clamp seems undersized and so has a lot of play, it all works fine though. I like how there aren't exposed springs for a better look and no squeak when adjusting it

Clamp too small for any desks/tables in my home
I have three different tables/desks in the room where I intend to use the microphone, and I need some kind of stand or arm for it. Unfortunately, this stand has a clamp that cannot work on any of them. It essentially requires whatever table/desk you have to have an edge without any panel underneath it, otherwise it's not deep enough to give the clamp the flat surface area to hold to. And the clamp is not deep at all, so you cannot do it on the other side of any panel there to get to the large, sturdy, flat part of the table top. On top of that, the 512 website has one link for a support page ... that is a dead link. And this appears to be the only mic stand/arm they sell? So I have no stand at all for the mic I bought from them, which does not work because it only stands up if you stand it directly on the port for the XLR cable. There is no fix to this, it appears. I will be returning this, very disappointed.

Greate Value
Only reason I bought this was because I saw it in person at a local recording studio and it was really high quality so I was surprised when I saw it available for $20 wich is like half or a quarter the price of most mic stands. Its super sturdy, good spring strength to hold up even my heavy older yeti mic and a good screw base that wont scratch your table. You definitely wont regret buying it, I'm honestly thinking of buying a second one for holding my phone for recording videos of crafting-type projects on my desk.

Value for the money!
This boom arm compares as good or better than some costing much more. Very solidly built and is capable of mounting fairly heavy microphones.
