Great upgrade if you have older zone limited receiver or zone limited receiver and 5800TM transmitter.
It was a drop in replacement for an older 5881 series receiver (limited to 8 zones) and 5800TM transmitter (used with my non-encrypted bi-directional key fobs). It increases number of RF zones to whatever my alarm panel can accommodate (tested & confirmed), and also supports the newer (non bi-directional) key fobs in both standard and encrypted modes. I have both types of fobs working simultaneously on the system with this transceiver.

Replaced my ancient 5882ENH receiver because I needed the built-in transmitter. There were no problems with the substitution.

Great, durable product. Easy to install and program. Using multiple units for over a year, none have failed. Batteries haven't needed replacement yet.

Powerful transceiver range through brick, plaster and aluminum siding walls! Unlimited Wireless Zones!
Bought this wireless receiver for use in our new Honeywell Vista 21IP Alarm Panel w/Onboard IP Communicator to wirelessly connect the following wireless sensors/detectors on our security system:• Ecolink WST-212 Honeywell Compatible Wireless Door/Window Sensor w/Local Bypass Button - for our three main entry doors• Honeywell Wireless 5800 PIR-RES - for motion detection• Honeywell 5853 Wireless Glass Break Detector • Honeywell 5808W3 Wireless Photoelectric Smoke/Heat Detector • Honeywell Ademco 5800CO Wireless CO Detector • Honeywell 5822T Garage Door Tilt Sensor Black Case .We use a Honeywell TUXWIFIW Tuxedo Touch Controller which was used to program the sensors into this receiver after we enabled the 4 AUI addresses on the Vista21IP alarm panel. There has been no issues with signal strength on any of the sensors despite it being placed in a worse wireless location in the house compared to our Wireless AC router (the wireless AC router doesn't even reach as far as this receiver without dropping out).This receiver has unlimited wireless zone support as well as encryption on the transmissions it sends/receives and we even installed it directly in the Vista21IP can to keep our installation looking clean and keeping it more secure from intruder damage.See my full review on Google+ for the full install story at:https://plus.google.com/u/0/?tab=wX#communities/111428331721418630777/stream/327ac6ba-f714-44fb-941d-93df5c580c40
