CoralifeAquarium Fish Tank 8-Outlet 24/7 Digital Power Center Timer

I was a bit concerned about this product based on some of the reviews, but while the instructions are a bit confusing, the timer is pretty easy to use. We set it up to control multiple lights for a reptile tank and it came on first time as we'd hoped and had been doing the day / night cutover without issue. I found it much easier to program and use than the manual timers.

Read the programming instructions. Be sure to program the on and off time for each individual day, aka takes a little effort to set up. Be sure to hit mode until you’re in auto. Then you’re all set. CO2 and lights come on and off at the same time.

I don't normally provide product feedback, but I felt compelled to do it this time because this product (Power Center - sold under Coralife Aqualight & other brand names) should really be off the market.First Problem: battery backup doesn't work reliably when I plug this power strip into a switched outlet and turned the outlet power ON/OFF repeatedly (especially if loading is light - i.e. when few items are plugged in). Failure mode: clock & program setting get reset to factory default! Return the unit and got a replacement, but the replacement exhibited exactly the same intermittent problem! After checking feedback postings later & see others reporting the same problem, I realize this is a design flaw and majority of this product are likely to suffer this same flaw! Lesson#1: Don't buy this if power backup is critical to you.Second Problem: After I decided I could live w/ the backup flaw because I really wanted the unit's functionality. After ~6months use, the clock & program get reset to random settings every day or so! Checked feedback posting & again see others reporting serious reliability flaws after a few months of use. The failure mode is unacceptable - for people w/ coral reef & planted aquarium w/ CO2 - this product could cause serious damage over short vacations.Conclusion: Good ratings you see on this product is for basic functionality in the spec. Most people don't realize battery backup don't work & reliability is zero on tis product until months later!

I absolutly love this product. I bought it after i got my Sailfin dragons. I have a very busy life and sometimes fall asleep with the lights on. With this easy to use plug in day and night system. I told it when to switch the lights to day and night lighta and it does it automatically. It has awesome features tonset multiple timers if you would like, and has spinnable rops for the plugins so you wont ruin the ones you arent using.

Runs my entire aquarium flawlessly. Timer feature is awesome. Has 4 timed outlets, 2 on 2 off that alternate. You basically set the time on/off for the 2 blue outlets. When the blue outlets are on the yellows don't have power, when the blues turn off the yellows have power. I kinda wish I could have set a timer for each individual timed outlet but it works for my day/night lighting. The only issue I had was the outlets were too close together for my lighting plugs so I had to get creative. Other than that, works great.

I sure hope that I hooked it up right. The sad part is that the instructions are very easy to follow. Well t sounded like when the daytime lights go off the night lights come on. So I did setting 1 for the week and setting 2 for the weekend, and somewhere I did do something wrong so I tried setting 3 for the whole week and the daytime lights went off and the new moon lights came on and worked great. Yes so out of all of that I have many of your products and have never had any problems and would highly recommend Coralife products. They are well built and like I said have never had a problem with any of them. Hope this helps you.

I bought this in March of 2018. It is now January of 2019.It worked great and did what it was supposed to do when it worked.For the past few months (around October) it started switching sooner than it should (had them switching at 8 am and 8 pm. They started switching at 7).Then yesterday I switched around my reptile room and when I plugged it back in, the screen was no longer working. My night lights immediately came on. I couldn't get the screen to work again so I couldn't reprogram it. For now I'm using it as a basic power strip with the "constant" outlets until I can find something else.Unfortunately there aren't many outlets with the timers that switch day and night lights. I love the idea of the design, I just wish it worked a little bit better.

Does not keep the proper time. I have no idea what is going on. I put a fresh battery in it to keep the clock backed up and it still isn't working. I said it yesterday, it's 8:50 right now, and the clock on the strip says 11:41.
