A simple way to mitigate foaming and cloudy water due to build up of oils. While you can rinse these out for a few times once they get loaded it is best to just replace them. Much better alternative using more chemicals in a small place.

I’ve had a Scumbug in my 250 gal inflatable Coleman Spa and the water is clearer than ever before and the Bug is still pristine white.I’d been getting the knockoff brand before because the price was so much less than Scumbugs. And they seemed to work because they’d turn orange and sink in about a week, so I felt like they were doing something. Turns out they were just turning colors after a bit and sinking.The texture is very different from the knockoffs and I have had zero deterioration of the Bug, as some have noted in reviews.I’m sorry I doubted these before. I think they will be well worth the investment.

works great! ... we did some staining of a fence and the mist blew over the pool - you could see a film on the surface of the water ... threw one of these in at 5pm and the next day at 4pm the surface was clean. Would recommend if you have a bunch of people swimming, wearing lotions or tanning stuff or simply need to rid the surface of oils

Bought these for our hot tub. They work great and we change them out every 6 months (or as needed). Do a good job of grabbing and collecting any added contaminants like lotions and things like that

Product is as described, we don't have much scum to collect as we require showers before getting in and specific suits that are washed and then rinsed multiple times with just water to get out as much soap as possible to keep it down. However my biggest complaint with the products is that it always ends up in the skimmer. And that's just annoying. Seller was excellent.

This little guy absorbs the oils in your hottub that cause film / cloudiness / foam to form on the top after using the jets. I found this worked much better than finding the golden ration of clarifier, shock, and defoamer. We still shock the tub for safety but this thing seems to absorb most of the oils and particulates.

These make a big difference in maintaining water quality in your hot tub. They last forever. Pay the extra money for this brand.

These seem to work well and collect the junk. Easy to rinse off. Foam was denser than I expected but I guess that’s a good thing. Worth the purchase.

We wouldnt use anything else! These work great to soak up any scum that may form in the tub! They last a long time and look much nicer than the bulky ones! Can be cleaned and rinsed off easily!

We are very happy to say this product does its job. We have gotten some real duds while trying to find a good product at a decent price...success!
