halfway through this book and I have to say, there's so much to it, that it feels like i'm halfway through a trilogy. The book takes you through the life of Carlon Leach, an ex football hooligan, turned doorman, turned gangster.The term 'mindless violence' doesn't apply here as there is nothing mindless about the way Carlton operates. In fact, he thinks things through and thinks ahead, which is probably why he's still here to tell his story. The main thing you can't learn at even the brightest of schools or academies is how to be streetwise and every factor of Carltons life seems to have been the perfect mix to achieve a top level of streetwise.At this point, i'd like to point out that I personally don't like football, have never belonged to a gang and am not known for violence. I do however like to party until i'm the last man standing and live life by the rule, give respect to gain respect. Why travel around to football matches and batter the cr*p out of each other? The same reason you would bungee jump, Jet ski or rock climb. Putting your life in danger in exchange for an adrenaline rush whilst partaking in the excercise with like minded people. Personally I like rock climbing because the nose bleeds are caused by altitude rather than someone's fist, but each to his own!The point is, these lifestyle decisions which operate outside of the law make more sense if you understand why someone would indulge in them in the first place and Carlton does an excellent job of taking you inside his world with recollections and memories that show a real person with many different sides to him. Yes, he's led a life mostly on the wrong side of the law, but in my opinion the biggest criminals in the world are lawmakers and governments who change the law to suit themselves (don't even get me started on that!) And if i'm gki g to choose a criminal, i'd rather read Carltons book than Joe Bidens any day of the week!Carlton: The final say, takes you through the saddest and most vulnerable moment of his life when he lost his dad, to the football terraces, to violent clashes and near fatal misses at business meetings and much much more with plenty of violence, sincerity, humour and more. My favourite anecdote was when Carlton heard a woman screaming in an alley in Ibiza and busted down the door the screams were coming from with his mates, only to find she was getting a tattoo!I'm halfway through the book and am in no rush for it to end. I will update the review when I finish it!

Firstly can I say I got to page 9 and knew this was gonna be an absolute blast of a book,,In real life the man takes time out his life to say hello to new faces💯RespectThe book is a MUST READ,the humour Carlton has is brilliant but it’s such an in-depth book it will blow you away,the mans morals only exist in a small number of people on this earth,Carlton’s sister even tells her story too ,so many twists and turns 10/10 and I genuinely mean that👏👏👏👏absolutely knocked it out the park fella 😎

An interesting read with some genuine insights.

This is a must read more about who Carlton Leach is who his family and friends are and of course puts a few people in his place after reading muscle then ROTF this was a must buy and it did not disappoint enjoyed reading the other side of carlton and the struggles he has faced the man the myth the legend

I dare anyone to read this book and say anything negative about it!You may not agree with organised crime or crime in general but most who are not associated are fascinated by it and this book won’t let you down.It gives you an insight to a man from many family and friends, people who really know the man. What you’ll also discover is a man who is at the top of his game in his world, but wears his heart on his sleeve going above and beyond for people he doesn’t necessarily know with charity work and especially supporting our hero’s that defend this country.

Think you know what The Real Footsoldier is all about, think again !! This is no Hollywood, make believe drivel. It’s not the life story of a maniac. Carlton may be famous for a lot of reasons, but he’s not the one dimensional lunatic people assume either. If you’re also of a certain age, from London, have children - you might recognise alot of things he writes about himself in you - I certainly did.Finally, alot of wannabes, story tellers, and liars, will be put to bed. A lot of truth comes out in this book. Carlton May we’ll be West Ham, and I’m Chelsea, but he seems like he could’ve been a good mate of mine. Can’t recommend this book enough.

I read A LOT of books.. it's what I do! but "Carlton, The final say" is superbly written and doesn't "feel" like a typical biography. This feels like you've been invited into Carlton's home to have a listen to what Carlton and his friends & family have to say over a few beers. This book really tells it like it is! From childhood through to now, Carlton's book is a fascinating journey through his life with the things that are close to his heart and the things (and people) that are not. If you've read Carlton's "Muscle" then DO NOT MISS THIS! Carlton has "The Final Say".. It's a top book, BUY IT!
