Very easy to attach the U.2 PCIe SSD to it. Installation was very easy and windows 11 recognised the drive immeidiately. A fair price.

I set it up with a Solidigm P5430 3.84To (QLC pcie4.0 ssd). I get exactly the advertised performances, 4925MB/s SR and 940 MB/s SW. This card can definitely run faster than gen3 speed, maybe there is some bottleneck at full gen4 speed, but i can't test that. would recommend.

Works great in my new gaming PC. We were parting out some old servers and I was able to repurpose this drive. It works great with this Gen 4 NVMe U2 SSD adapter. I like that it has a hole in the PCB so you can see the heat sink on the drive. Also added function of cooling the drive.

Tried using this with a PCIe Gen4 drive (Intel Optane P5800X). BIOS displays the PCIe Gen4 x4 slot is populated with a Gen3 x4 device. I mean the drive still works, but it's limited by Gen3 speeds which defeats the purpose of buying it... ----- UPDATE 01/05: PROBLEM FIXED! Problem seems to be my motherboard. It's a Gen4 slot but seems to be stuck in Gen3 compatibility mode and I'm not sure why. Anyways, moving this to a different slot on the board fixed my problem and I just benched 7205MB/s sequential read and 4804MB/s sequential write so it seems to work as expected. The only other adapter I can find also advertising Gen4 speeds is more than double the price of this so I think it's a good buy, I'm happy with the purchase now.
