I am happy with the feel of pad. Will help protect flooring from rough back of new rug I purchased. It did have a order but I put it outside for about an hour and it helped a lot.I got the package before I thought I would do that was a nice surprise BUT I do mot appreciate the packaging, or lack of. It was sent in a clear plastic bag so you see exactly what it was, size and all with label just stuck on the bag. I realized it was just a gray piece of a carpet mat, nothing exciting but I don’t want everyone to see what I purchase. At the very least place it in white or any color of plastic to diffuse what is in package.

The rug pad arrived quickly. It was folded and in a large box wrapped in thick plastic. The creases disappeared as soon as I laid it out flat on the floor. It helps too have another person for a large pad like I had.This nice quality rug pad, but was a lot larger than the 8 x 10' area rug I purchased it to go under. I had to cut it down to size and purchased a very sharp utility knife as many articles recommended, but it just stretched/distorted the felt pad. Out of desperation, I resorted to using a good pair of my sewing shears while I compressed the felt with my hand. This allowed me to cut a clean sharp line. The pad makes the rug feel much more expensive under your feet - very plush. The soft side of the pad goes against the floor and the flat side is to grap the back of your rug, I have my pad on laminate flooring. I may need to use something else that will prevent the pad from sliding. A good quality carpet pad extends the life of your rugs and makes them easier to keep clean. I think the pad is well worth the additional money you spend because the pad will extend the life of your area rug. Mohawk is a brand I have trusted for many years and their quality continues to be among the best when it comes to rugs and related accessories. This rug pad was reasonably priced and the quality was high.

I have never ever purchased one of these however recently bought a brand new rug and have nice wood floors so I thought I would order one and try it and I am so happy that I did. I think I purchased the three-quarter inch thickness however, I bought it a little bigger than my new 8 x 10 rug for I wanted to be sure it was big enough. You do have to trim it down and I do recommend buying a good pair of carpet shears, but this padding makes the world of difference.Just know, there are two sides of the padding one that is a little scratchy, or than the other side, of course the very smooth side goes down on your floor.

We wanted a pad under our carpet to help our aging dogs. There is a tile floor underneath and they were jamming their shoulders sometimes as they jumped off the furniture. This makes it easier on them and us when we sit on the floor. There are two different sides but no instructions as to which side goes down.If you get the 1/2 padding like I did, you absolutely need carpet scissors to cut it to size. With them it was easy.

The pad is perfect for my 6x9’ ish rug, fits perfectly no trimming needed. Made my rug more comfortable to sit, lay on. I bought the 3/8 in. Pad and though it is slippery on my hard floor I was forewarned about that bot overall it’s a great pad

Some padding is truly necessary on title flooring. Giving it a four because ¾ inch wasn't available. If you have tile floors I would recommend ¾ padding. Wood flooring has some give. Couldn't find anyone that sold ¾ padding without special ordering it.Tile flooring is heartless and has no give. 😒I know, there's a tremendous rage for tile floors. Yet I don't like that trend. Especially in apartments. They have gone cheap with that trend. More money for them. Less for their renters.

If this to size easily and set it up (8x10) alone also easily. Good protection and passing for a very thin washable rug I had to purchase due to my sweet dog’s aging bladder

The pad arrived folded in a box. They make these a little longer than the rug size, so you’ll need to trim to fit. Be warned, this pad is thick and very difficult to cut. Regular scissors won’t work. Overall I’m pleased with the quality.

This rug pad makes our carpet so much softer to walk on. The thickness is 1/2 inch, (is cut from a full piece of felt) and a perfect fit for the 8 x 10' length, leaving a 2" border for the carpet to cover the underpad. We cannot speak to durability yet, but the underpad seems very sturdy. The felt glides softly over the hardwood but we will be placing furniture on top, so we do not anticipate a slipping issue. Delivery to Canada was just over a week from the US. We couldn't be more pleased with overall quality. We are ordering a second pad today. Highly recommend this company!

This is a very plush carpet pad. It was very easy to unroll and cut, with no smell. It makes the carpet feel infinitely better. It is a little lumpy in some parts but that has evened out over time. It is installed over vinyl flooring and could be a little slippery, but it is anchored on two sides by a heavy couch so it doesn't move at all.

Easy to cut off excess to fit Persian rug. It will not secure rug but we read that. Our dining room table is on top and not needed. Exactly the type our research said we should have to maintain the value of the Persian. Feels nice walking on rug. A bit too pricey

Durably, cushy, but no rubber backing so a bit slippery at the corners
