Awesome speed
SanDisk 1TB Extreme Pro Portable SSD 2000MB/s R/W Initially set up the disk with inbuilt san disk software. The speed was pathetic and after some debugging found culprit in exFat default format. Reformatted to APFS (Encrypted) for similar secure features without comprising features. Surprised to see drastic jump in performance . ExFAT - 48gb write failed after 30 mins. APFS Encrypted - 48gb - less than 4 mins. Pros - Portable Secure Sturdy Speed Large volume Cons- Default software and filesystem.

This ssd gets heated very easily. You need to cool it down with an external fan

Please read it. The 4 TB version has a serious problem.
Please do not buy it I buy that SSD on 2023 1. 1 Oct 2024 I get replacement 2. Today 24 Nov 2025 I apply for replacement same issue SSD not not show after 1 month then you have to format and reuse it. Hubble Request please do not buy it Please go for other brand No problem with the seller. The problem is with the Sandisk Extreme Pro 4TB version.
