This distinctive name plate is handcrafted from maple and walnut woods. The name is carved into a thin piece of maple that has been laminated to a piece of 1/4" thick walnut and backed with a piece of 1/4" maple. The lettering cuts through the first layer of maple into the walnut for the stunning effect. Simply send us the name you want to appear and we will test carve it on our software and send you an image of the results for your approval. The name is shown in "all caps". If mixture of "caps and lower-case" lettering is preferred please let us know. The walnut base of the name plate in the photo is 12" long by 2" wide by 1/4' 'high. The name plate stands 2-1/2" high. The lettering is 3/4" high. Your item will be similar in size, depending on the name carved. We can adjust the size of the name plate to fit the name carved. The font shown has carved well with most any letter combination. It is clear and concise. If you prefer a different font, please contact us, we will test carve it on our software and send you an image of the results for your approval. We can also substitute wood types, if you have a preference please let us know. There are no stains or dyes used. We use real wood so grain pattern will vary. The natural beauty of both the maple and walnut is brought out with our custom blended hand rubbed oil finish.
