My daughter has been struggling with her turns. This product helped us to trouble-shoot her technique and figure out where she was getting off balance. There is a learning curve to using it (but that is half the fun). The main thing we don't like is that you need to stay flat-footed on it, which prohibits practicing turns where you need to raise up on your foot. We have it on a pre-finished hardwood floor, and it has had hundreds of turns made on it, and it does not mark the floor. As much as my daughter likes it, EVERYONE who comes to our house likes it even better. Friends, cousins, uncles, boyfriends . . . everyone wants to try it . . .and I suspect a few will be purchased for the "play" aspect. Some families gather around Wii, or some other game. . . ours has been hanging out watching people try the turning board.

I love this thing! I'm 42 and dance for fun and exercise and this is a great tool. It's not only fun, but it works your booty- both the working leg and standing leg- helps you find your center for multiple turns. Also, helps the slow spotter, like me. Do not have cocktails and try/practice unless you enjoy falling on your toukas. Really helps with port-de bras too, you got to keep your back and arms firm and lifted. I can't say enough good things about this, of course, you have to practice relevé and balancé on your own this is not a magic.

My daughter is a 9-year-old competitive dancer. She was falling out of her pirouettes, so we got this to help her work on position and balance while turning. It has been so helpful. Her turns are much better as a result. Please note, you cannot go on releve on this board. This is strictly a tool for helping with technique and balance. It also helps with the movement of more revolutions for more advanced turns but is not for work on turns a la seconde. Do not use this board on wood floor. It will slip. This works best on a solid non-slip surface like a dance dot or a piece of Marley. Take it slow to start. Takes a bit to get used to using. Highly recommend for focusing on technique and balance.

Very good turnboard. Has a very smooth turn on hardwood, tile, dance floors. Helps force correct form, and can be used anywhere with a smooth floor. The only problem is it is very easy to fall and slip as it is super slippery with almost no friction. My daughter has fallen several times on it and any small bump or object on the ground or even offset balance can set it flying. All in all, a pretty good buy.

This turnboard was certainly good, it exeeded my expectations a lot. I have thought myself a lot of new turns while using this thing, and also improved my tecnique a lot. My turns are better throughout the whole turn sequence and not just in the beginning. It's a good thing to use if you want to improve your turns, all of your turns.

Having a ballerina in the house means having lots of ballet and exercise equipment. When the school informed me that we needed a ballet turn board, I assumed it was some oversized, expensive addition to our already crowded ballet space. I was pleasantly surprised with the size and quality of this product. It took a few times for my daughter to use it without falling, but now she's definitely improving her turn (considerably) with this little helper.

My son adores ballet! Practicing pirouettes was going fine but tours à la seconde (pirouette with one leg raised at 90 degrees) were really stumping him. This lets him separate out the different skills so he can focus on getting that leg straight out while turning effortlessly. I make sure he practices without it too so he keeps a good releve but I can definitely see him making better progress at getting that leg up. And honestly, if it didn't help him at all I wouldn't care because it's just so much fun!

After you get over the terror of falling, this is quite helpful and fun. The learning curve is quick, start with parallel jazz turns before trying a turned out ballet turn. Once you realize you can't really fall (you just step off the board if your balance is off), its exciting to try and turn as many times as you can in a row. My student went from 1-6 turns in only a few tries. To be fair, she does 2-3 turns in ballet class regularly. After using the board a few times, she did triple turns with out any hops or insecurity. We hope to pass 4 turns in under a week. Totally worth the price!

My granddaughter was thrilled with the turnboard. She has been spinning and spinning ever since. Great product! Came as described and works extremely well. Just a warning when first using the board it is very slippery.

Wir kennen das Produkt, haben es deshalb bestellt. Es kam schnell und erfüllt unsere Vorstellungen. Für die Ballance und zum Turnen ist es ein schönes Produkt. Eben ein Kinderwunsch.

L’ho comprato per regalarlo ad un’insegnante di danza ed è molto soddisfatta del prodotto ! Lo usa lei è lo fa usare alle sue allieve. Solido e resistente . Io lo consiglio non solo per migliorare la tecnica nella danza ma anche per migliorare la stabilita nel caso di problematiche articolari/muscolari pre e post operatorio per un ballerino (ho avuto modo di testarlo nel recupero di alcuni ballerini e devo dire che aiuta )

Artikel ist das was unsere Enkeltochter zum üben brauchte. Schneller Versand, gut verpackt. Alle sind zufrieden, der Unterricht mit dem Artikel geht in die nächste Ebene. Mal schauen was es uns in nächster Zeit mit dem Sportgerät oder wie immer es eingesetzt wird, uns noch schönes beschert. Es wird für Ballet und Drehübungen eingesetzt.
