AlmasedShaker 500ml

Feel a little bit cheated.Reviews say the metal spiral is built into the shaker and pics on the leaflet included in the Almased powder also show pics of a shaker with the spiral built inside the lid.The one I received has a small, totally separate "ball" of metal that drops inside with the mixture. It is basically useless and clatters around very noisily when being shaken, then when drinking. Very messy when washing out.Not happy as must be very old stock.

As someone else said, these could withstand a nuclear blast because they are built that sturdy. However, in my opinion, that is only applicable to the outside of the shaker. The metal coil inside (in my opinion) is a bad design, and this is based on the fact that I bought three of these, and one of them had an "overstretched" coil. With frequent use, these coils look like they will stretch. Before I ordered these, I was using a shaker that I got free with a powdered energy drink - that had a sturdy plastic mesh - and it mixed my Almased quickly and easily without lumps.The coil just looks like a failure point to make you buy more shakers.

I bought on a bit of a whim but it actually is really useful. The metal ball blends the powder and water easily. My only complaint is that for this price, the flip top should snap shut. You have to hold it down to avoid liquid splashing out.

Not sure I see the attraction, myself, but the good lady wife thinks it's the greatest thing since the previous best thing, so happy days.

The taste is not unpleasant, just unusual. I mix mine with fruit/and or chia seeds to bulk it up, as recommended. It's better than the sugar laden brands, I have found its helped me lose weight, it's gluten/lactose free, for coeliacs. I recommend it.
